Johnson fitness boost

Glen Johnson has given the Reds some good news on the injury front by revealing his ankle injury is 'not as bad as first thought'.

The England full back was forced off the field after a shuddering challenge with Patrice Evra during Liverpool's 1-0 win over Manchester United last months, and initial fears were that he could be set for up to ten weeks on the sidelines.

Whilst there is still no firm date for his expected return, Johnson took to twitter today to reveal: "Injury doesn't seem as bad as first thought. Hopefully be back sooner than originally expected! Thank you everyone for the 'get well' messages!!!"
