John Henry tells Gunners to lay off the crack pipe

Reds' principal owner John W Henry has reacted to Arsenal's £40,000,001 bid for Luis Suarez by asking the question "What do you think they're smoking over there at the Emirates?"

Arsenal lodged the bid last night, believing the extra pound would activate a clause in the player's contract that allows him to speak to any club that offers in excess of £40m for his services.  Liverpool dismissed the bid out of hand, claiming the clause simply means the player has to be informed of any bid, not that it must be accepted or permission must be granted for him to open talks.
