Aldo recommends Hammers Star

Reds' legend John Aldridge says Liverpool should be keeping tabs on West Ham's Senegalese midfielder Mohamed Diame.

The former Wigan man caught the eye at Anfield at the weekend as the Hammers held Brendan Rodgers' side to a goalless draw, and Aldridge was impressed with what he saw.  "One player I would urge Liverpool to keep tabs on is a brute of a midfielder we saw in action at Anfield this weekend. Mohamed Diame is a tremendous player and so strong and powerful in that central role" he told the Liverpool Echo.

"He is exactly what the Reds need in there and in the two games between Liverpool and West Ham United this season he has been the best player" he added.

Diame reportedly has a £3.5m buyout clause and was close to a move to Anfield at the end of last season before the sacking of Kenny Dalglish scuppered the deal.
