On the issue of Twitter, for me a moment of realisation came when I found myself looking for election results in obscure districts of Colorado in the American mid-term elections.

A person like me shouldn't know the names of minor American politicians, much less care if they lose their seat. I couldn't name a single member of Congress before 2016.

I only knew these people because of Twitter - they don't affect my life one iota. I've now let them all go. I reckon it's good for your wellbeing.
