Where do we go from here?

The answer to that is straight forward IMHO.

In exactly the same circles we have all season - it isn't going to change.

We'll have some good days because we have quality - especually up front and especially against teams who leave us space to hit.

But those good days will be bookended by plenty of days like today - as we have seen all season long - and it isn't going to change, what has happened today has happened quite often all season and will contunue to happen quite often for rest of it - it isn't going to change until we start the desperately required and overdue overhaul of our midfield and strengthen our defence, and that can't happen until the summer.

This is just what we are, what we have become.

Work hard against us, be compact in defence, press and harry in middle of park and have a bit of pace to exploit the gaps we leave and you'll likely get plenty of joy against us - it is why our record against the dross in this league is so bad this season.....stop us having space and time to break into and we are largely clueless.

Another thing - when were in our pomp a couple of years or so ago, our powers of recovery and ability to come from behind were great - we hardly ever do now. Can't really recall last time we did.

We have seen it with Arsenal in recent weeks and of course Man City do it - we seem to have lost it - going behind seems to be mostly the end of us in games....we even had the perfect potential lifeline today and blew it.

For Top 4 we probably need to find form over last 12 games that is not far off what would be considered normal title challenging form - to get to 70 pts we need 28 from 12 that is 2.33 per game 88 per season form.

Even if we set bar at 67 we need 25 from 12 - 2.08 a game, 79 over a season form.

Both those asks are a fair bit better than we have shown for two thirds of this season now.

Next 3 games are really tough too - and come off back of a break and are squeezed into just over a week - a big ask and IMHO absolutely pivotal....we pissed a real chance away to put ourselves into a handy position and now face a big ask.

The really irritating thing is even if we get a good haul from these next 3 tough, tough games - does anyone trust us not to go and lose to Leeds and/or Forest in two games after?

Losing three times in a season to the team at the bottom of the league. That is fucking disgusting

It is, dare I say, a bit Everton. Put us on a high only to pull the rug from under us a few days later. 

Obviously it's possible that the players were all saving themselves for Madrid.

Listening a few days after the game is always good, and as I thought I would, I enjoyed that pod more than the Man Utd one. 

Getting to share and observe others in the throws of despair definitely cheers me up.  The depressed goal flashes from John from the other games just added to the aura of misery.  Top pod, thanks.

I have just one gripe.  It's not "Rocky 1".  It's "Rocky".  You start the numbers after the first.  e.g - Jaws, Jaws 2, etc.

These lads don't deserve the prestige of Champions League next season, they haven't worked hard all season and neither has the manager. Sad but true.
