I think the holte end has had a reputation for a long time, but the rest of the ground more than makes up for it. The end to the right of the aways is always an absolute mess. Constant smalltime abuse, fighting each other. Seen the lot there and only been twice.

Walking up past the pub to the ground is a proper old school feeling. When you get in you realise what a patchwork shit heap the ground actually is.

I was getting hyped for the Klopp farewell until listening to that, you lot got me thinking it's going to be a damp squid now! Simple solution for the walk around is tell the players to do their lap first without friends and family and their family can join in the centre circle after the lap is complete.

another solution is for them to wait in the player's lounge and stay off the pitch.

Would they name the main stand or Anny Rd after him? 

I think the referee was pissed last night.

Maybe the Annie Rd End so we don’t have a new manager standing in front of a stand named after his predecessor, but it acknowledges the superhuman feat Klopp managed to achieve here when up against oil states, it’s not going to cost the owners anything and it’s something they could announce on Sunday that would be a fitting tribute to the man. 
 

It would also hopefully lift the supporter’s spirits as we say goodbye and ahead of the new season too because as Jules said it’s got the potential to be fucking depressing.

Anny Rd is already named after a poster on here so that might be tricky.

Instead of naming stands after managers, they should sell the naming rights and use the money from that to knock 25% of ticket prices. They won't, but they should. And Klopp would much prefer that I reckon.

The idea a stand would be named after any manager before Shanks or Bob would make me sad, angry, and vengeful. Give it a decade and then maybe Klopp can get a scoreboard named after him or something, but no way does he deserve a stand named after him ahead of those two.

They won’t because they see the money offered for just stands as ‘not enough’. 
 

Without going into a FSG debate, the fact it would cost nothing, is brand new and would actually be visible (as opposed to announcing a statue or set of gates after him) on the day would work imo.

If they sold the naming rights they'd pocket the money, then increase the ticket prices.

I’m not usually one for the rants on pods, but I thoroughly enjoyed Chris’s opening rant, and then the one about the players wives was beautifully put. I was sniggering away happily on my commute home.
 

Also, what a lovely little trip down memory lane from Jules with the Grandstand shout. I was going ‘doin. doon doon, dada da daaaa da dada da   da’ all the way home. 
 

And fuck me, Martin Samual made me laugh enough for the bussy to stop and come upstairs to make sure I was ok. Dave’s genuine upset made me weirdly laugh a lot.

Agree wholeheartedly that none of the players' wives/girlfriends/kids/brothers/cousins/maids/chauffeurs shouldn't be allowed on the pitch at the end of the game.  Fucking entitlement writ large.

For me, only Konate, Bradley and Quansah should be the untouchable defenders.  Everyone else has a price due to age and contract.
