Alexandre Lacazette: The Man To Fire Liverpool To The Premier League Title?

When you consider how Liverpool have performed in recent years, it would be fair to claim that the Reds have enjoyed a fairly successful 2016-17 campaign.

Despite losing both Sadio Mané to the Africa Cup of Nations and Philippe Coutinho for an extended spell through injury, Liverpool are still up there in the top four and one more victory will secure a spot in next season’s Champions League.

At the beginning of the season, Jurgen Klopp’s number one objective was to finish in the top four – and Liverpool are very close to achieving that feat.

It hasn’t been plain sailing by any means but the Reds, who have scored 71 goals in 36 league games, have done enough in the big games to keep pace at the summit. With another addition or two in attacking areas, the Reds might even compete for the title in the near future.

Somebody like Alexandre Lacazette would enhance Liverpool’s chances of pipping their elite rivals to the title next season and he is gettable for the right price.

The Lyon striker, still just 25 years old, has bagged 30 goals in 41 appearances this campaign and reports suggest that Klopp is eyeing up a potential move for the Frenchman. Reds fans will hope that the lure of Champions League football next year can lure Lacazette to Anfield.
Lacazette himself has mentioned the possibility of leaving Lyon at the end of the campaign but he has also claimed that his biggest desire is to play in Europe’s elite club competition on a weekly basis.

Securing Champions League football will open doors for Liverpool in the transfer window; Klopp may find it easier to attract the high calibre players with the offer of a lucrative contract and a chance to shine on the biggest stage of all.

Should Lacazette join in the coming months, Liverpool supporters will be backing the 25 year old to succeed in the Premier League. The Reds are currently 9/1 to win the title and punters looking to place a bet on Liverpool might want to check out the latest free bets and promotions via this Coral bookmakers review.

Yes, Liverpool must focus on improving their shaky defence first but the opportunity to sign a player of Lacazette’s quality doesn’t come around too often and Klopp knows it.

Lyon will do their utmost to bolster his transfer fee as much as possible but he is worth it: Liverpool should pay whatever they want. Just imagine Lacazette leading the line in front of Coutinho, Mané, and Roberto Firmino; the Reds would have the strongest front unit in England's top flight.

With Arsenal also showing a keen interest in the Lyon man, the time for Klopp to act is now. The Gunners look set to miss out on the Champions League places for the first time under Arsene Wenger and Lacazette could be destined for a move to Anfield.

With the talented Frenchman as Liverpool’s main man, the Reds could be set for a first English title triumph in the Premier League era. Watch this space!
