That was the week that was (Apr 7-13 2018)

Saturday Apr 7…

Everton 0 L 0 That was the weirdest derby I can ever remember. We didn’t want to be there and they were just soooooo passive. No yellow cards in a Merseyside derby? I doubt if that’s ever happened before. It comes to something when Everton don’t even have enough fight left in them to even kick us. What’s even more surprising is their fans weren’t even baying for blood the way they normally would. It’s like they’ve given up. Allardyce has really done a fucking job on them hasn’t he? I’m starting to like him.

The only thing that mattered today was avoiding injuries and with the possible exception of Moreno (injured in the fucking warm up!) we seem to have done that. City seem to have avoided injury but their confidence must have taken a massive hit by the way they blew the Manc derby with a dramatic second half collapse. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing from our perspective. It’s bad in terms of trying to get second spot, and it might be bad for Tuesday night if it lights a fire under City.

They should already have had a fire under them after last week though, so I’m choosing to see this as a positive, because even if ‘God forbid - they go a couple of goals up on Tuesday they’ll have it in the back of their minds that their defence is fucking shite and could concede at any moment.

Sunday Apr 8…

Ander Herrera was in full on snide mode yesterday and he was caught on camera spitting on the Man City badge at pitch side as he walked off at half time. Today a United spokesman said “"Ander has seen the footage of the incident and is mortified at any suggestion that his actions were deliberate. It was entirely accidental and there was no intent whatsoever”. Mortified! Ha! If this shitbag had it in him to be ‘mortified’ about any of his actions he’d never set foot out of his front door. He’s utterly shameless.

I sometimes wonder if Mourinho might actually be his dad and not just his manager, because their character traits are so similar. Mourinho never made it as a player, he was shite, but I'm fairly certain if he had been a player he'd aspire to be Herrera rather than Messi.

Still, at least he’s not Harry fucking Kane, who is so desperate to catch Mo in the race for the Golden Boot than he is swearing on his daughter’s life that he got a touch on Eriksen’s goal yesterday. What a fucking desperate, big chinned goon he is. Shameful behaviour that is.

L’Equipe reckon we’ve agreed a three year deal with Fellaini. As far as bullshit transfer rumours go, this might be the worst I’ve ever heard. If there’s one player out there less suited to how our midfield plays than Fellaini, I’m yet to see him. Imagine him playing for us! I don’t even think the Express would stoop so low as to run a garbage story like that.

*checks newsnow* No, I was wrong, the Express are all over this like Fat Sam at an all you can eat carvery.

And speaking of the devil, yet more bullshit today came in the form of some fake Allardyce quotes that everyone fell for. In fairness, he’s come out with so much laughable shit recently you can’t blame anyone for not realising the quotes about “if our two games with Liverpool this year were a Champions League tie we’d have gone through on away goals” were jarg.

Monday Apr 9…

Hahaha fucking hell, Tottenham lodge an official appeal about Kane not being credited with Eriksen’s goal. How sad and desperate can you get? Fucking losers. Don’t know who’s worse, Spurs or Kane. I suppose there’s at least some excuse for Spurs as the Golden Boot is the closest they ever get to winning anything. Kane’s just a proper selfish egotistical cunt. I hate him more than any other Premier League player now I think. It’s either him or Herrera, but I think it’s Kane.

You know what bothers me the most about him? When you look the way he does, then sorry, you don’t get to be that arrogant. You can’t be acting like Ronaldo when you look like Jimmy Hill.

Meanwhile, Mo was named Premier League Player of the Month for about the tenth time this season. Kane took to Twitter to say “I swear on my mum and dad’s lives I actually won that award”. Ok not really, but I’m expecting Spurs to lodge their official complaint in the morning.
Speaking of Mo, he trained tonight and was passed fit for tomorrow.

Tuesday Apr 10…

City 1 L 2 Easy in the end. Not that it felt that way at half time. The first half was torture. We got lucky with the disallowed goal, they got lucky with the goal that stood. You’d think that would be enough to stop people fixating about the officiating, but no.

Flat Track Pep doesn’t like it up him and he was crying it in about decisions that went against them. Cry me a river you bald fuck. It was 5-1, it’s not like we went through because of one contentious decision. We did a number on them and won both legs. That's what people should be talking about, not this disallowed goal nonsense.

Tonight was harder than it ought to have been because we conceded so early and when that happens the instinctive response in that situation is “oh fuck, we can’t concede another” so you drop deep and defend. That’s the wrong thing to do but it’s kind of a default position for any team. The key is that we learn from it now and the next time we’re under pressure we remain brave, defend high and play our game.

We did that in the second half and it was fucking boss. These lads are sound aren’t they? The way they were all celebrating with the fans after the goals and at full time, it just makes you feel all warm inside. I'll be watching clips of this all day tomorrow. Ox initially ignoring Mo just so he could go and yell maniacally at the fans. Then he went to Mo and did the same thing to him, right in his face. Karius running the length of the pitch and also celebrating with the fans rather than just Mo was ace too.

It’s just great when you get that bond between the team and the fans. We’ve got that now and if it leads to number six then it will become even greater. When that happens we’re a pretty formidable force. It's just a shame we're not going to get the chance to humiliate Barcelona this year as tonight Roma stole our thunder. As funny as it was (and it was fucking hilarious) it's done my head in because I wanted us to run all over those slow tippy tappy fucks. We'll have to make do with Madrid instead I guess.

Wednesday Apr 11…

Speaking of whom, what a game that was tonight. As much as it was sickening seeing Ronaldo scoring that last gasp pen and Buffon getting sent off, this was the best outcome for us. I was watching it thinking “we’d fucking destroy Madrid” but I really, really didn’t want to end up playing Juve.

Not only can they park a mean bus but we’d have to deal with all the baggage that would come with it. Us trying to apologise and be dead nice, and them telling us to fuck off and stabbing us when we go to Turin. And if any of our lads reacted to it we’d be the worst in the world.

So unpalatable as it was seeing Madrid win like that, it’s for the best, even though I really felt for Juve’s players tonight. Now I just hope we draw Madrid in the semis so we can see Sadio and Mo tear them apart with their speed.

In other news today, bizarrely, the dubious goals panel upheld Tottenham’s appeal about Kane’s goal. They must have just gone “fuck it, let the cunt have it if he’s prepared to degrade himself this much”. Or maybe they were worried about the wellbeing of his little daughter.

When the news broke Mo took to Twitter in amusing fashion. It also tickled me that Trent was the first to reply. Gini also weighed in with a belter too. I reckon Mo is going to go out on Saturday and smash five past Bournemouth just to put Kane back in his box.

Thursday Apr 12…

Buffon is absolutely shredding Michael Oliver to anyone who will listen, which is basically the entire world because he's Buffon and he's fucking awesome. He’s called him a murderer in one TV interview, and in another he was going on about how he must have a rubbish bin instead of a heart. The jist of his complaints seems to be that because Juve had made such a great comeback Oliver had no right to end it by giving a penalty.

His other beef was that because this is his last CL campaign and because he was pissed off at the decision he should have been allowed to say and do whatever he liked to Oliver without getting sent off. You know something? I agree with him. Well, partly anyway.

The penalty itself was a no win situation for Oliver because he was getting slated whether he gave it or not. It wasn't a stonewall pen but I'd say it was probably 60-40 in favour of a pen, but you can make a decent case either way. Would he have had the balls to give it at the other end? I doubt it, but we’ll never know. He wasn't out of line giving a pen, but it was fuckin' arlarse like.

As for the red card, I’m not having that at all. He’s Gigi Buffon and he can do what he likes. Fuck Michael Oliver. This is the same loser who came out for a game a couple of years ago with tramlines shaved into his hair. He deserves to be insulted.

You’ve got to have some kind of appreciation for the circumstances. I mean fucking hell. Juve came from 3-0 down away at Real Madrid, and then the ref gives Madrid a contentious penalty in stoppage time. What did he think was going to happen?? These lads are Italian, they’re not going to shrug their shoulders and go ‘oh well, we gave it a good go’. They’re gonna go fucking mental and it’s completely understandable.

The very idea that this Mr Bean looking fuck could end Buffon’s European career like that will never sit well with me, especially when Joe Hart once did something far worse to him and escaped any punishment. You don’t send Buffon of at that momentf. You give him a yellow and tell him to stop talking or he won’t get the chance to try and save the pen.

Oliver robbed us of what could have been an iconic football moment. Imagine the scenes if Buffon had saved the pen? I know the pen was un-saveable, but if Buffon had been between the sticks maybe Ronaldo is under a little more pressure? We’ll never know because Captain fucking Tramline robbed us of it.

Meanwhile…. oh shit, son. Look at this!

Imagine that facially challenged cunt playing for Madrid and claiming one of Ronaldo's goals because the shadow of the ball crossed his shirt before it went in ?

Like the ego that is Ronaldo would settle for any of that shite.

Never mind it weakening Spurs significantly, I'd want him to go to Madrid for that alone!

I saw the links to Sideshow Bob last week too.  That's just the press trolling, that's not even just a shit rumour.  Absolutely no cunt in their right mind could envisage that pointy elbowed woolly headed cunt as a Klopp type Liverpool player.

Could they ?
