Just what is it going to take for the Liverpool board to finally put this fool out of his misery? A lot more than this if the rumours coming out of Anfield are to be believed. Apparently, his job is safe whatever happens between now and May.

I'm past being angry at Houllier now. He's a lost cause as far as I'm concerned. If he had a shred of decency he'd walk, but he hasn't, so it's up to the board to send him packing. Sadly they don't seem to be up to the task.

Press reports suggest that he's been told his job is safe. The players certainly believe he's staying, and if the season ended now, he would keep his job. I hope to God that isn't the case, but at the moment that's the signal the club are putting out.

The booing at the end of this dire encounter with Charlton won't change a thing apparently. The same thing could happen next week against Fulham, and that wouldn't change anything either, and it's a fucking outrage.

I've given David Moores an easy ride, both on here and in the fanzine. Mainly because I simply couldn't believe that he (and Rick Parry) could possibly allow this bungling arrogant, fraud of a manager to remain in charge next season. "Not even David Moores is that stupid" I thought.

But if that is indeed their intention, then they aren't fit to run the club and are letting us down. It's almost criminal. From top to bottom, this club is a fucking mess. If Houllier isn't sacked, then the board are a disgrace to the club and they need to go too.

The worst thing I can say about this defeat is that it didn't come as even the slightest shock. This was a game between two very evenly matched sides, with little to seperate them in the table. Charlton winning at Anfield should not be considered a shock. That's how far we've fallen.

This is our level now. We have no rivalry with the likes of the mancs and Arsenal other than geographical and historical. They're on another stratusphere to us. Our rivals in terms of football are now Charlton, Birmingham and Newcastle.

After the Good Friday mauling at Highbury, Houllier consoled his players by telling them not to worry, they don't have to play against Arsenal every week. Wonder what he said this time. In fact, no I don't. I don't give a flying fuck what he says about anything anymore. He's a prick.

Never before have I heard Anfield so silent during the last ten minutes of a game where we trailed by a single goal. Usually, the fans would be trying to roar the team on to find an equaliser.

Not today though. People couldn't even be arsed to moan at misplaced passes, or shirked tackles. Total and abject apathy. It was as though the crowd were just waiting for the final whistle and their chance to boo.

Anyone who dares criticise the fans for booing after this seriously needs their heads examined. We complain on internet forums, no-one listens. We write letters to the Echo, no-one listens, many have even written to the club, but no-one listens. The fanzines? Rick Parry reads them, but it doesn't seem to make a shred of difference.

The board knows how pissed off the majority of the support is, yet THEY DO NOTHING. So what's left? Booing inside Anfield and protests, that's what. Maybe then they'll listen, although we'd have to boo pretty loud to wake Moores from the coma he must be in.

The idea of protests inside the ground is not a nice one, and makes me feel very uneasy. But nowhere near as uneasy as the thought of that fucking fraud still being at the helm next season makes me feel.

The only thing keeping me from going crazy at the moment is clinging onto the hope that surely the board aren't stupid enough to let the madness (or the madman) continue. Sadly, if what I'm hearing is true, I'm giving them far too much credit. They may well be that stupid.

So if anyone wants to protest against him, I don't have a problem with that anymore. In fact, I'd happily throw my support behind it. Because that's what it's going to take to make David Moores and co wake up and do their fucking duty.

Right now I'm all for trying to organise a mosaic saying "Fuck off Houllier, fuck off Moores" for the game with Fulham on Saturday.

I'm going to stop there, because I'm really getting angry and frustrated just thinking about it. I've already had to delete a few things which I knew I would regret later on, so there's just no point continuing.

As for the game, the back four played ok, especially Riise, but that was it. Gerrard tried hard, but looked as though carrying the team for so long has finally caught up with him, as he often resorted to last season's tactic of constantly looking for the Hollywood ball.

He was also booked for diving. Is that how bad things have become, that Stevie has stooped to the levels of Diouf and Kewell? Just as long as he doesn't start playing like them. The pair of them were woeful again.

I haven't seen the replay of the incident, and may be doing Steven a disservice. If so, then I apologise, but his lack of complaint after the decision suggested to me that he knew he'd dived.

And what of our great leader? He was up on the touchline at the time they scored, because he was fucking whining about the decision to give them a corner. As soon as the ball hit the back of the net, he turned, and went and sat back down.

He didn't leave that seat again until the final whistle. He just sat there, no doubt muttering to himself like the lunatic he is. He's a fucking joke.

Guess who?

And then there's you know who. As soon as he saw Baros and Smicer ready to come on, he decides to go down injured with one of his little bumps to the head, and was later escorted to the dressing room by the doctor. Bet you anything you like he's fit for the next game though. Spineless cunt.

But never mind eh, the board have got it under control. Yes, things aren't going great, but it's ok because they have a plan. More big money signings this summer will make everything ok. After all, that policy has served us so well in the past. Hasn't it?

And I tell you what, let's make those new big money signings French, coz the ones we've got now have done so well. Well haven't they?

It this was Leeds or someone it would be hilarious, but it's not, it's us and it's not funny, it's heartbreaking.

I've just read back through what I've written, and this report is absolutely shit I know, it's just incoherant gibberish. In fact, it's much like what Houllier has been serving up all season. But at least I'll admit that it's shit and I apologise for it.

I'm not pissed off with the performance or the defeat. I've come to expect nothing more to be honest. But I'm fucking furious with the signals coming out of the club that they're prepared to allow this to continue.

So here endeth probably the worst report I've ever written. Allez Allez.
