I thought his performance last night was very peak Thiago esque - he dictated things at his own pace and the swagger, style and range of passing was a delight to behold. Cocky at times even. He's like the rolls Royce we were promised when we signed wee Joe Allen.

I think FSG will make a leftfield appointment next. I've gone through the whole range of emotions since the announcement yesterday, sad, acceptance, cathartic, optimistic and excited for what comes next, relaxed... Now I'm back feeling a bit gutted. A phase 2 of last summer. Or maybe there's something behind the scenes with the city charges and there's been a intervention from the top to make it go away and FSG want to jump ship and go balls deep into the super league and want his support?
