Obviously now the Bilbao United tie has been brought up, im just going to look like an idiot carrying this on. But you cant assume La Liga is better than the Prem because Bilbao beat united in a shitty Europa League tie. Yes we have been awful in Europe this year, and yes even Chelsea should be countin there lucky stars to be where they are (CL), but i still think our teams outside the top 2 e.g. chelsea/spurs/arsenal are a lot better than there spanish equivilents.

whats so funny about the thought of the premier league being the best league in the world? our top 5 are stronger than any other in europe. im not denying barca and madrid are the undisputed best, but 2 teams do not make a league.

Spain have the best 2 teams in the world, but i think we have the stronger league in terms of the league as a whole. Besides Soldado is not a sure thing to finish 3rd highest scorer, he is joint 5th at the minute, with the players above being able to score braces for fun due to the teams they play in. Doesnt take away that he is still a fantastic goal scorer though.

we just need someone who can put the ball in the net, desperately.

Soloman Kalou also, doesnt play much so cant judge him goal scoring wise, but a free transfer for a reletively pacy versatile forward with premier league experience.

I have to presume no money, otherwise i will get replies like "Soldado over Cavani!?" when Cavani will quite clearly cost 40m and upwards. Jairzinho i think he could be bought for less than 20m (i was thinking about 15m-ish) considering they let Mata go for ~23m last summer. However as you say Champions League Football could be a factor, but im sure powers of persuasion to join a revolution and miss out on one years CL football could maybe change his mind!

With money assumed to not be in mega supply, i dont know why we dont take a punt with the likes of Roberto Soldado. Never made the grade at Madrid, which is nothing to be ashamed of, but he seems to be banging them in for cash strapped Valencia, who love a good sale it seems! Although Demba Ba has had an excellent season and has a buy out clause of 7m (reported), i still hope we dont get him. And for his sake i hope he doesnt make the move to chelsea, effectively killing off his career.

im not getting involved in the whole kenny in/kenny out argument, because he is the only manager in world football who could be in this situation and still be 100% infallible, so like him or loathe him, he is staying. I am also not naming names, but last night i spoke to a very much senior player and he said he has no respect for dalglish as a manager and he hasnt got a clue what he is doing...his words, not mine.

New to this forum, hello. There is more chance of me nan doing a 300 with a skateboard that liverpool finishing 4th win our 10 remaining games? the last time we even had back to back wins in the league is dec (QPR/VILLA...correct me if im wrong!?) so what evidence do you have to sugges this non-firing liverpool side can overcome a free scoring arsenal or a spurs team with a nice points cushion? oh and not to forget chelsea an newcastle who stand in our way before we even discuss arsenal/spurs!
