  1. TV2, our second biggest TV-channel confirming that a bid has been accepted on their website now. Medical tomorrow apparently. Should be quite trustworthy.
  2. I think the 3-5-2 is used for several reasons. Think Kenny wants width in our attacking play, and have found that our current midfield players do not offer this width. Think the formation could have looked very different with Ashley Young in the side. Might look different when Carroll is fit as well, with Suarez playing more on the right. Defensively we've seen it work very well against a long ball side like Stoke, and against a 4-4-2 with diamond. Think it would have been much more difficult if Chelsea had played a formation utilising Malouda. Or against another side playing with more width. Kelly and espcially Johnson would then be under pressure all game by wingers and fullbacks. Think Kenny had that in mind though, and it would have been quite easy to shift Johnson form left fullback to right midfielder with the players he had on Sunday. Well done lads!
  3. Must admit I'm very exited to see what he can bring to the team :) Prepared to wait a bit to see him at his best, but would be lovely if he's on fire from the start :)
  4. According to the Norwegian fan site liverpool.no Suarez has been awarded the number 7 shirt by the King himself
  5. I'd hate to see him go to a rival team, but it's not the end of the world. Still remember Owen going to Madrid to win something :) And we all know what happend when Kevin Keegan left. Life goes on and the next great player could be just around the corner.
  6. My guess is that Mascherano will never cut it in Barcelona. When he played for us he was outstanding because he gave our offensive midfielders cover and the opportunity to attack more. Barcelona is all about passing and possession. His passing is not up to their level, and his not good enough on the ball either. They rarely loose the ball, and when they do they get it back within seconds, so they actually don't need his tackling very much either. The only reason they would need him is if they choose to play slightly different when they meet the best teams in CL, and offer some of their passing to be more solid at that back. Very interessting to see if that will be the case!
  7. Most definately feeling it!!!! IMO King Kenny is bringing back the essence of LFC. We're in this together. The way he's treated Babels twitter thing is just outstanding. The message is clear! You might have screwed up, but I support you no matter what. That's what you really want to hear. The same with how he commented on Torres. I'm sure this will give an entirly other response from the group than telling the press how you've underperformed did
  8. Johnson is a player that would work very well in a team that dominates possession. I'm quite sure that that was the reason why Rafa brought him in. IMO the lack of attacking contribution from our full backs was the main weakness of our side 2 seasons ago. Now that we're playing "roof"-football he doesn't fit in. We will never dominate possession with Roys tactics, and that means that the pressure he will be under defensivly will make him crap. The same is pretty much that fact for Meireles. He will not fullfill his potential in Liverpool unless we start actually using the ball. What Roy needs is more Stoke-type players to start winning matches, but then he might as well be off to Stoke, Blackburn, Bolton or whatever....:wallbutt:
