Nunez is 25 in a months time. He is what he is as a player. He might have a great season now and then but he won't suddenly turn into a reliable goal scorer.

He does play as one of two 10s for Hungary but i could see him playing on the right hand side of the 3 if Salah goes. If that happens a new goalscorer is really needed as Diaz,Szoboszlai and Elliot/Carvalho etc as 3 of a front 4 will not score enough goals

Not saying Slot is the right man but im not sure there is a exciting manager out there once Alonso said he was staying. Tuchel,Mourinho,Conte none are exciting and all would want older players for the squad and would fall out with everyone within a year. At a time when he is slowing down and we should be getting him closer to the area to make use of his passing and touch we have pushed him out wide and isolated him so a fullback can pretend to play in midfield

He will be better suited to us playing him wide on the front 3 or as the 10 if Slot plays the 4231. He plays in 3421 for Hungary and is far more free for them playing in the 2 behind the central striker

From the tactics things i have read he does play with a inverted fullback Geertruida often plays like it on the right, the only difference is he is willing to also stay wide and get back and defend

Reckon Slot might start with Gakpo up top being as he's Dutch and his assistant will have worked with him in the Dutch squad
