  1. Very good.... I wouldn't take a bullet for him. Just think he got (and gets) a raw deal from some on here.
  2. I understand what you are saying and maybe awful was the wrong word to use. Ive seen man utd "play awful" many times this year and win. 1-3 at tottenham when they only had three shots. But that's why they are top of the league. Sadly it is a results business and Liverpool, with Kenny in charge, are not getting the results. Call it bad luck, bad signings, whatever, but until we start winning and show some consistency we will never mount a serious challenge. What did it say in that article in the Telegraph? Two, maybe three title challenges in the past 20 years? Sounds about right.
  3. Too much emphasis is put on who wrote an article rather than what it says. Same applies to Tony Evans' piece today which has some truth, too. A much fairer discussion could be head if threads were called 'piece in Telegraph' rather than 'Bascombe in Telegraph' or 'Evans in The Times'. If that piece had been written by some failed journalist on a blog who has tried over and over to get a job covering Liverpool but couldn't then it wouldn't cause so much reaction. but people on here, some, are more interested in who wrote it than the article itself.
  4. Isn't the substance the fact that we got beat at home to Wigan, have played awful most of the season, closer to the bottom of the league than the top, 10 points behind Newcastle and the big money signings have been really poor?
  5. Most successful managers have had money to spend, as has Kenny. And playing well for 77 minutes, and losing isn't good enough. We are closer to the bottom of the league (20 points) than the top (28). We are not good enough under Kenny, anyone who thinks we are doesn't know football.
  6. i really can't be bothered arguing. Mourinho has proved to be a winner everywhere he's been. But again, another discussion for another thread. Top of bottom of it, is Liverpool were shit tonight, we have been most of the season, and I don't think Kenny is the right man for job. But I still love him. I've no idea who should replace him, just someone better with more experience in the modern game and the modern transfer market.
  7. Absolutely not Benitez. But that's a different argument for a different thread. I'd take Mourinho in a heartbeat but he wouldn't come. i don't know. Need to look at who's available and who is the best for the job at the end of the season. But I wouldn't take someone who hasn't been directly involved in the game for God know how many years nor someone who is there for his legendary status alone.
  8. What's it got to do with Rafa? Are you mental? He's not our manager. Hasn't been for a while.
  9. Who is then? Just don't get you? We were two up, with minutes to go, and we lose against a far inferior side. We were shit tonight, as we've been for most of the season. Who is? Take your pick. Players, manager, back room staff, all of them. Poor result to add to the ever increasing list of poor results all season. Wigan Saturday, that's a point in the bag.
  10. Utter dog shit tonight. 2-0 up and lose against an awful team. Dire. Kenny, I love you and all that but you're not the right man for the job. There, I've said it.
  11. Anyone know why he left/got the sack this week? Popular PR Tyrrell leaves Liverpool The glaring dislike Kenny Dalglish has for the media makes it all the more surprising Liverpool are parting company by 'mutual consent' with excellent PR communicator Paul Tyrrell, their head of press, who was conspicuously absent at Stoke last weekend. 12. Chris has better contacts at LFC than him so I look forward to reading his stuff. Just like I did on the echo and NOTW. he has better contacts than anyone covering LFC in newspapers. Good luck to the lad and I wish him well. He's by far the best journalist out of all the papers.
