Very, considering he wrote Rafa was getting sacked by the yanks... It's crazy, there are so many different sources - all of whom are to be described as 'solid' - all saying different things. Shankslegend has said Hicks wasn't in Dubai and is over all pessimistic about the deal (from what I've read) but now saying he is hearing conflicting things. Elisha Scott has said he's heard it's as good as done with 40m profit each. Cowtownred saying the same thing Bascombe and you are saying he was in Dubai (Hicks in bizarre holiday destination coincidence ;) )... It's almost as if information and misinformation is being thrown out on purpose... What say you

Probably a fair comment, it's more likely to be the quality of the people that is important in the set up. A bad manager will be worse than a great manager and a great scout and a great general manager and vice versa. The problem is that most good managers are control freaks and want control of what they are doing. I'd sooner not have people clashing all over.

A manager. Every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Even more so when you have a man like Rafa. He knows his onions (and his football, too). He's smart financially and knows how to structure a club successfully. It's important to have a great team behind him but he should have as much control as he wants. He's the man that will take the football club to the very top and needs to be given the power to do so. His main strength is to act quickly, get it done, get the play and get out. This is where the American owners have really sinned. They needed to be sharp but have held him back.

Yeah, Forlan is having a cracking season, how many league goals has he scored for us now? He wasn't 100% correct in the summer and he isn't correct about Rafa and Mourinho, either. I've no doubt he posts in good faith, I'm sure he is a nice guy, too. I've never met him and probably never will, so can't judge. It doesn't really matter though because I'm not judging the guy. Just some of the things he posts and the rest of the people that follow it religiously despite it not always being true.

That's clearly true. Then again I called him a doom mounger, not a liar or a bullshitter. It's clear that we are going to have a great 70k seater stadium though, isn't it. With all respect in the world to the guy, I don't see a lot of the predicted doom from the summer or his backing up of Bascombe this winter. Each to their own though.
