  1. I hid this in another thread and it might get overlooked, so...... Is there anyone on here who is a very good C# programmer with ASP.NET, MVC, jQuery, SQL Server and all the other stuff? I'm just getting fed up of interviewing thick fuckers who can't pass a technical test who are being send by bastard corrupt agency wankers. The salary is £60k-ish + bonus + train ticket (up to £5k excluding tax) + Oyster card + lunch allowance if not in offices. The job is in Canary Wharf and is a route into banking. PM me your CV if interested.

  3. I did say salary and profits. Let me just check back on that. Oh yes I did. And as income tax and NI collected by the government is 4 times that of business rates and corporation tax, then it's not quite the square root of fuck all.
  4. Are they actually losing their jobs or are they just going to be relocated to Paris/Dublin/Frankfurt? If it is just relocation then if you are into the politics of jealousy it is rather a Pyrrhic victory as any tax receipts from salary or profits they generate will be going abroad. It will eventually have a knock-on.
  5. if Labour voters in the likes of the NE think London is going to get poorer and they will benefit, they are about to be severely disappointed. It's about to get a whole lot worse. As ever, London will come out of it intact as usual. Reap what you sow.
  6. I'l bet every team that has spent less than them will finish below them and they will finish above some teams who have spent more. Now what was your definition of over achievement?
  7. I don't know what these tables are setting out to prove. What I can say is that football is a very different proposition to what it was in 80s. Medium sized teams outside of London such as Everton, Forest, Ipswich, Villa, Coventry, etc have little chance of mounting any realistic challenge for a title. Moyes has done well to have them finishing above us a number of times.
  8. Moyles is nailed on for the job. He's running 10-1 on with most bookies. I'd settle with him being mildly successful with Utd and Everton going on to fulfill their relegation potential.
  9. I suppose some sort of congratulations are in order that he managed to even get close to Bob's European record. Mind it only took him 28 years.
  10. Not sure Wiggo is in any sort of form here. Dropped for 15 seconds on a nothing stage.
  11. After 4 years in the same place, my tenancy agreement is due to run out in July, but I'm not moving into my new place till October. I've asked the letting agency to either scrap the existing contract and I'll sign a new one for 6 months from April or to give me a 3-month extension, both of which have been refused. What are my options here? I'm positive it is more trouble than it is worth for them to taken any action to have me out as it'll take more than three months for them to get anywhere. And any court they go to looking to serve an eviction would probably take a dim view as I'm being entirely reasonable and paying the rent as normal.
  12. Apparently there is going to be no state funeral thankfully, just a St Paul's funeral where her supporters can wank over her coffin. No state funeral for Margaret Thatcher, though pomp and ceremony ahead | Metro News
