  1. I can confirm the actual quotes as I saw the interview on Norwegian tv, NRK. The stuff about the FA+League cup was not in the interview they aired. The quote about winning the league was in there. Henry was a cool customer in the interview which was conducted at the American embassy in Oslo.
  2. Suarez will stay, we'll buy Bernard or some other really exciting attacking player along with a top-class defender. Bring on your Manchester Uniteds, bring on your cockneys by the score, and we'll take'em two by two and we'll kick the fuck out of you, 'cause Liverpool is the team that we adore. aaaaah positivity
  3. I'll take it if I may! Im here to be pm'd :-)
  4. I've cancelled my premier league subscription and will focus on other things in life than the corrupt premier league. fuckem
  5. I have to admit I thought he crossed paths with sturridge at chelsea, I was wrong. But you can't blame me for assuming that when our targets last summer seemed to be: Sigurdsson (confirmed) Allen (signed) Borini (signed) Sinclair (stronly linked until City stepped in) Vorm(linked) + Dempsey Without a scouting network last summer is an excuse to some extent, but if you don't have worldwide contacts then managing one of the world's biggest football clubs is a huge challenge. Now that he does have the network I hope he does spend the money wisely, getting value for money and for the time being it seems to be in bankrupt Europe you find best value.
  6. You left out my problem with the deal: value for money. I like Sturridge as a player and I was disappointed we didnt sign him in the summer, but 12m pounds is way above market value in Europe, that's the issue. I also like Henderson and even Carroll, but we can't keep paying way over the odds every transfer window like we did with them. Borini was another 6-8m pound player we spunked too much to get, it's bizarre.
  7. Rodgers wanted to buy Sinclair, the Icelandic gimp currently playing for spurs, he bought Allen and now looks to buy Sturridge. All former players of his. It reminds me of Konchesky and Hodgson in a way, and it certainly is a worry that he seems to be wearing blinders in the transfer market...Sturridge is worth 8m, not 12.
  8. Bad dive from Suarez yesterday. It was almost like he has seen this thread and wanted to show us a dive. The first proper dive I've seen from him in a liverpool shirt - cringe-worthy indeed.
  9. Distin one there is contact, wba one, is that the one where he trips in his own feet? The worst diver in history and this is what you have? really? I get to define what constitutes a dive in this thread and I did so when creating the thread. Stop saying we cant see him going down easy etc etc, we all know that he like every other footballer does that, but he doesnt blatantly dive. and STU, like others have pointed out you always play devil's advocate, you mom failed to give you attention, you felt in school that your teachers and peers never gave you enough attention so you had extreme and opposite views on most things, at work, if you have work, people avoid discussing with you because they know it's no use, and now you've found a place perfect for a looney attention seeking nobody to vent your frustration and finally get the attention you feel you deserve - the ff.
  10. To remind the few on here, who never got enough attention from mommy and have to be devil's advocate all the time to finally get the attention they were deprived of in childhood, please see how this thread started: "I'm so fed up with it that I decided to make this thread in the hope that anyone can show me video evidence of Suarez diving like nani/rooney/hazard/valencia/evra/cronaldo have done on several occasions. Rolling on the pitch 2 extra times after being caught is not diving btw, I want proof of him going down without enough contact to justify going down. " It was a thread abt diving, not abt rolling on the ground, and it appears there isnt a single incident of him cheating his way to a freekick or penalty. That is nothing short of mind-boggling as he is arguably the person in Europe with the worst reputation for diving.
  11. I also see now that I have a picture of him as my avatar, which undermines my objectivity, but I can assure you I'm not 10, I don't have a Suarez poster on the wall and I'm not his biggest fan - I'm just troubled by injustice
  12. To answer those who think it's ludicrous to say he is not a diver and that if fans of other teams had a similar thread we'd have a thread laughing about it. If that other team was Man U and the player was Ashley Young we would have a thread about it and laugh and WE WOULD HAVE CLIPS OF HIM DIVING. If it was Rooneay CLIPS OF HIUM DIVING If it was Gerrard CLIPS OF HIM DIVING If it was Drogba CLIPS OF HIM DIVING ...get it? I hope they have a thread about him on some manc forum so they can show me a clip of him diving, Im dying to see it. And STU, if I was so concerned about protecting Suarez no matter what and I have blind faith, why would I even start this thread? I posted it so people could show me clips of him diving. My theory was that he doesnt dive, and so far that theory holds. He's guilty of complaining and appealing abt handballs too often, and he is guilty of making a meal out of a foul sometimes(rolling on the ground etc), but he is not a diver- simple as.
  13. so Stu's argument for proving suarez is a diver is as follows: "not going to spend time finding evidence he knows is there". Or even better "you're an idiot if you dont see that he is" Still we do not have one incident of what I defined as diving at the start of this thread, after 8 pages I'm concluding that there isn't one. Overreacting to a tackle is a different thing and you can start your own thread about that. It's annoying when footballers roll on the floor pretending to be shot like when Taylor did the limbo after the handball on the line, but rolling on the ground after having been tackled is not the same as diving without having been tackled. Before you start: we agree this rolling around is wrong and embarrassing, and Suarez has done that several times. Now, you claim you play football, so you let's talk about going down with "minimal" contact - if there is enough contact to make you lose your balance so that you lose your advantage you better go down, if not you are just trying to lose.
