  1. Feel sorry for Ings. Gets his first start and is shoved out on the left in the most defensive display I can remember. Takes up some decent positions when given the opportunity to get forward then is dragged off when we go two down instead of being pushed up front. Must be wondering if he'll ever get a chance up front. Just waiting for what bullshit Rodgers spouts at full time now to compound my embarrassment.
  2. I voted to sack him now because I have felt that way for a long time. The team selection and explanation in Madrid and then the subsequent selection and result in the following league game were it for me. It's obvious which signings are committee as they are not given much of an opportunity compared to his signings who seem to be selected no matter how poor previous performances have been. We deserve better than this. Having said all that, the owners backed him in the summer so I doubt they will be looking to change anything mid-season unless we suffer a serious run of defeats.
  3. He must have been close to resigning following that news surely. If he has little or no input into the replacements I can still see him walking. He can still leave with his reputation intact stating signings weren't his etc etc. However money does seem to affect people's principles!
  4. It's a big blow. Hopefully Sturridge can shake off that injury because I don't think he will be getting the rest he needs now.
  5. If he played for a London based club the ban would be half that.
  6. I very rarely post but I can't believe you actually came out with that post. I was one of the people who thought Rafa's time was up (wrongly as it later became blatantly apparent) just before he was given the bullet. But to suggest Redknapp is a better manager than him is a joke to be honest.
  7. Beaten by a far far more organised team who move the ball around quickly. Impressed with Ajax. Our lads just seem to dwell on the ball a bit too long. Sterling and Suso look to have a good future in the game, hopefully see more of them next season. How good is their big left back?
  8. Apparently information regarding finances at Rangers has been passed to Strathclyde police. can any of you from up there shed any light on this?
  9. I agree that it certainly isn't a priority. Maybe they see Kelly's long term future in the middle. That would potentially leave Flanagan as our only future right back, and his career is at a very early stage and could go either way yet. It would certainly fit with the so called plan of getting these young stars before they have reached full potential. This is looking a good few years in the future though unless anything happens with Johnsons next contract negotiations.
  10. we are definately in for Matthews. We have had him watched on three occasions by two different scouts, and each report has been very positive. Don't think it will happen in this window though. Celtic are aware of this of course and if there is such a thing of registering an interest / having first offer, thats where we stand. (hope that last bit makes sense). personally i thought he was very good in the old firm derby, but thats the only time i've seen him.
  11. We have already been offered Dann and been told a bid of between £6-7M will buy him. The response from Kenny was that he likes him and he is the type of player we are looking to sign at this time, but there is resistance from Comoli. Everton have been sounded out aswell. They will make an offer if they sell Jagielka. Dann is very keen on a move to us. Not sure if what kenny said was an excuse to the agent or there is more to it. This is all from a representative of the player. Thought it might be worth posting it here.
