  1. It would be foolish not to speak with Dalglish. Hansen and Lawrenson were the priorities though.
  2. An official statement will be released shortly (if it hasn't already). Mr Gillett will state that he is fully behind Mr Parry and that the board also supports him.
  3. I see that Mr Gillett has made his feelings known.
  4. Ian Ayr as the CEO of Liverpool Football Club would be an absolute disaster and would certainly end any interest from D.I.C. There is next to no chance of that happening though.
  5. I see that Mr Hicks didn't take too kindly to Mr Gillett berating his right hand man before the victory against Arsenal. Quite petty really, isn't it?
  6. If a deal is not successfully negotiated before the start of next season, then one can reasonably assume that no such deal will be forthcoming beyond that time.
  7. It is frustrating to the point of breaking the resolve of some people. However, a firm date can never be put on these things, particularly when dealing with volatile people. If those involved in trying to make this happen knew exactly when it would happen, I can assure you that Liverpool fans would be made aware of it.
  8. Take it as a given that two subsidiaries of Dubai Holdings will eventually assume control of Liverpool Football Club. Maybe not today, but "for the good of tomorrow".
  9. It means that Mr Hick's position of blocking any potential sale may have become significantly weaker if it was to be challenged.
  10. All 'interested parties' have now been made aware, publicly, that Thomas O. Hicks was offered George N. Gillett's shares with reasonable terms and he was not able to complete the transaction. Think about the significance of this.... in legal terms.
  11. Sameer Al Ansari's third wife twice re-mortgaged.
  12. If I was talking about myself, I wouldn't have made the mistake of calling the organisation Dubai 'Investment' Capital.
