  1. Looks as off the pace as Torres did after a few injuries. Heavier than he was as well.
  2. Schneiderlin has never stood out for me. A bit one paced and clumsy. Poor man's Matic. I'd hope we've got our sights on someone quite a lot better if we're looking to pay £25m and upwards on a midfielder.
  3. Doner kebabs, usually come with a white feta like cheese in with the meat, that I've had when in Germany are a class above any I've had in the UK. Stunning.
  4. Southampton often got compared to the way we played last year and Lambert featured the majority of times for them. I don't think Balotelli playing alongside a more mobile forward was given enough chance to work. Balotelli's workrate to recover the ball has been good in most games. It's his lack of movement when upfront on his own when we have the ball that's been the problem.
  5. The much simpler solution to Sturridge getting injured would have been putting Sterling upfront and staying with the diamond in midfield. For me, it's Rodgers starting with only one striker and that striker being a static Balotelli or Lambert most of the time that's hurt us most this year. Balotelli looked good with Sturridge as a partner in the limited time they played together so surely the least disruptive action would have been to try and get Sterling to replicate Sturridges movement? The current formation, even if you add Sturridge to it, lacks goals and balance to me.
  6. I'd be looking to replace Mingolet as soon as possible but there's no way Jones deserves to start ahead of him. I don't play computer games often but when I have a go of a football game and the keeper ends up three yards past his post and the other team just pass the ball in the net... Jones brings that style of keeping into a reality.
  7. There's a dearth of standout centre halves but there was no reason to sign this clown.
  8. Get Allen off. Another game passing him by. At least with Gerrard there's his dead ball ability.
  9. I preferred watching Torres at his best rather than watching Suarez at his best last season. Just could never fully warm to Suarez and his niggly weirdness/madness.
  10. Obviously the transfer policy and process is a mess but, from the outside, I can't see who is on it that is constantly suggesting players that Brendan doesn't want. Ayre and the FSG bloke aren't gonna do that. The head or analytics is Rodgers' mate isn't he? So that leaves Hunter - but surely a grandly titled head scout can't be over ruling the manager on who to buy and what those players qualities need to be. If so, he's indirectly dictating our playing style which can't be right? Alternatively maybe Hunter is a lazy, incompetent twat who only brings to the table shortlists of duff players and we're forced to pick the best from an awful bunch?
  11. Play two upfront. I'd go Markovic/Sterling. Can must be appalling in training if he's not getting at least a chance ahead of Henderson and especially Allen as they're contributing fuck all week in week out.
  12. Should start with Sterling upfront on Sunday. Neither are natural strikers but it'd be a 100% better than Lambert lumbering round on his own.
  13. The perfect night to re establish splitting the centre backs and playing out from the back. Worrying from the manager.
