  1. Half of the villains i like aren't proper villains (Roy Batty, for example) I'm going with... Burke (Aliens) Ash (Alien) Tommy DeVito (Goodfellas) Hans Landa (Inglourious Basterds) Alex DeLarge (A Clockwork Orange) Don Logan (Sexy Beast) Ciro diMarco (Gomorrah) Commodus (Gladiator) Phoenix Buchanan (Paddington 2) And the absolute queen, herself, Servalan
  2. "Praying for Time" by George Michael came on in the car this morning and for the first time in 34 years i realised in the part of the lyrics that go... "This is the year of the hungry manWhose place is in the pastHand in hand with ignoranceAnd legitimate excuses" ...it wasn't actually "the gentlemen's excuses". You live and learn.
  3. At first glance, this looked ace. Full marks for actually cooking the sausages as opposed to just laying them on a radiator for half an hour. The eggs look decent too, apart from a lack of seasoning. Where it goes very wrong is the bacon and the toast. The bacon is basically the opposite of the sausages and the toast looks like someone has baulked up bits of their stomach lining onto it. Horrendous. Very much a breakfast of two halves, this.
  4. Struggling to get into Masters of the Air, three episodes in. It's a bit of a personality free zone (apart from Barry Keoghan) and it just all feels like it's all been done before (and better) with Band of Brothers and The Pacific. Visually it's difficult to fault it, but beyond that it's a bit of a yawn-fest. A mate said that the last three episodes are incredible, so i will no doubt carry on, but it really hasn't grabbed me so far.
  5. Right Said Fred beg to differ.
  6. When my lads were little they would sing along to stuff in the car and obviously i wouldn't ever correct them. Two of my favourites were "New Gold Dream" by Simple Minds were our Matthew sang "Eddie one Eddie two Eddie Three Eddie four" instead of "81-82-83-84" and my personal favourite was "Electrical Storm" by U2, which he thought was "Electrical Stuff". I prefer the nonsensical stuff that you were convinced were actual words for years, or at least you didn't question whether it was correct or not, you just went along with it. Prime example, in "Enola Gay" by OMD i always sang along to it as "Calicious novel and you're coming home" when he actually says "Conditions normal and you're coming home". No idea what a calicious novel is, or could be.
  7. Her COVID programme, where she absolutely rinsed a load of anti-vaxxers, was beautiful. As is she.
  8. Way too much pain for the marginal gain.
  9. I quite liked Val Kilmer trampling Meg Ryan's duck to death (again) in The Doors, and Billy Idol sneering at Kyle Mclachlan. I think.
  10. Astounded that nobody has mentioned this yet...
  11. Yeah, episode three ramped it up, finally.
  12. You've clearly never been to Norfolk then.
  13. I think you are taking it all far too seriously. Clearly a divvy, but he isn't scrapping with anyone, or robbing, or (as far as we know) bunking in. One fella legging it on to the pitch to celebrate an absolute worldie by Suarez against those mutants really isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things. Genuinely surprised at how offended by it you are.
