His knees are so shot he played 34 PL games for Newcastle last season and have played all 4 this season and from February he played 12 PL games for West Ham on loan.

 

On top of that he has scored 26 goals in those 50 games.

 

His knees are fine, anyone who has had a knee injury and have played games continually like he has would tell you that.

At 7mil you can't really do any worse, he cant be that big on wages either, his 27 and entering the peak of his career, a 3 year contract will do.
