Single bastards like me, tell us about upcoming dates and then how shit they went afterwards. Chevettehs I want to hear about yours please.

 

I was pretty pleased with myself scoring 2 dates in the week that just passed (which may have been more than the rest of the year put together).

 

The first is a girl called Carol that I met in a nightclub in Milton Keynes. Despite a rather bizarre non-interest in Black women my entire life (not sure why) I was mesmerised by her awesome African hair and subsequently realised she was pretty. She asked for my number and called me the next day (not sure if I remember this ever happening before). Went to meet her at her uni and only had an hour. She is Ugandan, only been here for 2 weeks and may be quite religious.

 

There was quite a culture difference, even for a wordly cultural dick like me and she seemed to have quite conservative dating views in that you should only kiss when you are in love and that all relationships should be a prelude to marraige. I don't necessarily have a problem with these 2 things, even though I don't share these views. But what did put me off was that she has a boyfriend back in Uganda, that she mentioned White guys can easily get Ugandan girls because there is still a huge racial hierarchy thing in Uganda and that she seemed to be making quite a lot of effort for a friend. Basically I am not comfortable being put on a pedestal because of my skin colour. I've sent the odd message back to her but will not be pursuing things.

 

Second one was an Irish girl called Deborah. Met her at a festival pissed out my head and having no recollection of meeting her other then a picture of a me and a fit blonde on my camera. After the festival she added me on facebook and when I happened to be going to her town I asked her to the party I was going to. Not sure why I mentioned this one really as the bitch didn't show up, though she did have a 12 hour shift before the party and had warned me she might not be feeling it. She managed to get up for the early rugby game the next day though, glad the gibbedy bastards lost. Shame because she was fit and Irish girls tend to be a laugh.

 

Still had a good time at the party without her, at one point I thought I was on for a threesome (the good kind).

 

Anyway, enough about my shitty dating life, lets hear about yours...

After being single for about 18 months I signed up to plentyoffish.com to have a bash at online and went on quite a few dates in the past 6 months or so

 

A girl called Ailsa who was a laugh, quite good looking and had "sexy posh" going on. We got on well and had the same sense of humor, went on about 4 or 5 dates with her but because of her job we always had to plan dates well in advance and we lived a fair distance apart so it wasn't ever going to go anywhere so we left it in the end. Was a bit gutted at the time as I thought she had potential but it happens.

 

I went out with a lass called Kerry who I used to work with years ago, she was a big lass (I have no objections) and lived in town. The thing that put me off was that she was a total fag hag, at one point we went to the Lisbon and they were queuing up to say hello. Couldn't be arsed with all that. I was a bit of a cock to her because I did sleep with her as I was wrecked when I should've done the honorable thing and left it as I had no intentions of going out with her

 

There was also a 22 year old called Lindsay who was an emotional train wreck. I met her for a coffee after work, she had tattoos on her forearms and tits which put me right off and within the space of 1 hour she had told me about her father's death, her emotionally distressing upbringing and how depressed she was. She did invite me back to her student accommodation, an offer which I politely declined.

 

I was getting a bit fed up of it to be honest and almost gave up the site and went back to "meeting people whilst pissed" but I went back and upped my age limits on people on there from max of 28 (as I am) to 30 and got talking to a teacher called Em. Met up on a date had a brilliant time and after spending about half an hour talking about how we hated seeing people doing public displays of affection we ended up necking disgustingly in Tabac freaking out all the students.

 

Totally broke the "rules of dating" by asking her out again a few days later and it went from there. Been "an item" for 3 months now and seems to be going brilliantly. I'm not technically one of the single bastards you wanted replying to you but there's my recent dating experiences.

 

It is so hard to meet people these days though, we spend most of our time in work and our relaxation time getting pissed so there's not much scope. I'd give the online route a go Remmie, worked for me.

Also - if you agree to meet someone and smash them after a few pints (its decided before meeting up via text or interwebs etc), does that count as a date? As that seems to be the only kind of dates I get these days, not complaining like. The birds I've wellied have generally been in this manner too. There is a welsh bird who comes up about once or twice a year to visit David's Column. Getting a bit bored with it now tho as she's rather vanilla.

 

The whole idea of going out for a drink in order to 'advertise' yourself as a possible fuck seems a waste of time. Romance - bah humbug.

I met someone on fish last year, i've since decided it's actually safer to go home pissed as a fart with a complete stranger then to be lulled into a false sense of security and possibly divulging too much information whilst 'chatting'. Fucking stalking nut jobs. (i've met some really boss female mates off there though.)

Black women are awesome, unfortunately I live in possibly the whitest area in all of whitesville so have never dated anyone of another race. I did once rattle a black pornstar in a vegas brothel though.

 

I have a 2nd date tonight with someone from work, it's weird going back to dating after having previously been in a relationship for so long.

 

We know each other pretty well so not too much awkwardness, not sure it'll be anything long-term but she's good company.

The three so far are nice - not stunners, but nice looking and good jobs (manager, nurse, lawyer)

 

One of them is a psychologically not quite all there - but I like the potential risks and benefits

 

I've got a blonde Russian lawyer this time next week, a doctor and lawyer on Sunday and a government person (not sure what she does) on Saturday

 

Another lawyer tomorrow and Monday and the crazy for Friday night

 

Today is my rest day

 

I`ve got yesterdays one lined up for date 2 next Thursday

 

I think I may have a problem - but I'm working through it

Online dating is boss. Loads of birds wanting to go out. Been seeing a girl for a year and half on okcupid. Also just bought a house with her now. All going well so far. Plentyoffish is pretty decent too. I`ve also knobbed birds off of Craigslist.

 

I've had a look at it in the past but could very rarely be arsed emailing anyone on them, soul destroying wasn't the word.
