My Dad's mate is an artist. He also enjoys a drink.

 

He went in to an art supply shop, asked for some Meths, he'd been drinking the previous night and the fella behind the counter could smell it on him and refused to sell him any. My Dad's mate argued with him for a while, the fella continued to refuse to serve him. So he went home and got his portfolio to show him. Came back in showed him his stuff, finally he relented and asked him what type he wanted. My arl mans mate said "give us one off the cold shelf".

 

So a cautionary tale for you Phily, buy supplies before getting hammered.
