Haha, was going to say that I went off them after their 1st album too. It's a shame they never matched that 1st one for me personally, because I thought they were going to be one of my faves for years to come. That 1st is brilliant though.

Word Gets Around is class. Performance & Cocktails is decent. Couldn't even tell you what the other albums are called. The one with Dakota one was Ok-ish.

 

The double edition Best Of has some good B-sides on it like Raymonds Shop & a few others.

Would have liked to go just to see the Courteeners though, but with having no job for a few weeks Ive been keeping away from anything that could cost me money(apart from f**tball)

Seen them back in about '96 or '97 and remember being well impressed. Like some others have already mentioned, i thought Word gets around was a top album and P&C was also pretty good but JEEP was absolute shite and pretty much gave up after that (especially after that Rod Stewart cover).

It was fantastic. I was really impressed by the sound quality in the Echo arena. His voice is amazing and the performance was flawless. Only negatives were the chav element, watching 4 coppers kick seven shades out of some bloke, and the atmosphere wasn't great. The Courteeners were dead good too.

Saw them about 3 years ago, bored to death. Kelly Jones had forgotten how to play electric, kept picking up the acoustic and doing some "nah nah nah " toss. If hes remembered what his Gibson SG looks like it should be good, if its mainly the acoustic stuff again it will be beyond dull.

It was brilliant i thought. Really enjoyed it and it ssounds like most of the local dickheads had gone to Kings of Leon the night before which was a bonus.
