Am the same - am only up to series 3 , can watch DVD's while I work so am watching about 4 of these babies a day. I just wish that Mackey could be let loose on London's streets for a few weeks

You can watch dvd's at work? Fucking hell, the small amount of "work" that I actually do now, would be non-existent if I could watch dvd's as well.

It's fucking great. When's the last season coming to this country?

Season 7 starts September the 2nd in the States. Not sure when they will be aired on UK TV though.

I can't wait for this final season but I will be gutted knowing there will be no more.

Self employed - and have been doing what I do for so long that I can get away with it - would recommend to anyone.

What I don't get is if Vic Mackey is so good, why does he have Cleetus as his right hand man. He is an idiot!

I'm with you on that - he's a complete prick - and he seems to be excelling himself in season 3 (would appreciate no spoilers in this thread) I love it when you discover a series like this. This is right up there with the Wire and NYPD Blue for me.

Channel 5 have the UK rights for Season 7 from the 1st September 2008 however, no decision has been made as to when they will air it.

The bloke I spoke to was fairly confident it would be sometime before Christmas and could possibly be after a re-run of season 6.

One thing that is rarely mentioned about it that I love is the way they have used big name actors without detracting from the drama or breaking the suspension of disbelief. Everyone rightly raves about Forest Whitaker, but I thought Glenn Close was also fantastic in it and brilliantly cast.

Glenn Close in Season 4 was superb, a very underrated performance. I loved the tension between her and Claudette Wyms throughout that season.

Purely a matter of individual preference, mate. However, either way, there's not much in it. The Wire for me, but many would put The Shield first.

Thought she was outstanding as the season went on but was pretty weak in the first few episodes, watching the behind the scenes documentary she said she felt that herself as she just wasn't prepared for working in TV and couldn't handle the routine early doors.

Agree with the above poster too that Shane is a crucial character, he's an awesome actor too is Walton Goggins, but he's deffo heading for a big fall and i'm ready to see him take it now.
