I can't understand the hatred of Chelsea. Apart from the investment by Abramovich (which breeds envy) what is there to hate? I don't hate any individual at Chelsea, and if you hate them because they can buy almost anybody then so could we for the previous 30 years or so.

I think its because of the lack of class they've got Hermes. They have never been anything special but all of a sudden in many's peoples eyes they are because of their wealth.

The way in which the wealth was acquired is also a point of frustration for me anyway. I'm not an expert on the subject but from what I know Abramovich isn't too familiar with ethics.

The money waving and cocky singing by their fans doesn't help either, nor does the arrogance of their manager and their chief executive.

1 - Sky and the press? That's not Chelsea's fault.

2. Would you complain if he spent £200m on players for us?

Hatred of the mancs I can understand, Chelsea I don't.

I second that, it's the arrogant Cock'er'ney swagger. That element of Parklife that eminates from them. The hotel incident after 9/11. They are a bunch of knobs. I don't hate them just don't like them. Six years ago I worked in London and all the Chelsea lads honestly thought that they were a better club than us. They and the London press are a bunch of smug, self-righteous, sycophantic, ingratiating, pampered bell ends who get on my tits.

the arrogance of their manager .

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has admitted his side were lucky to escape from Anfield with all three points after Joe Cole's second half winner.

The Chelsea sub secured victory for the visitors and robbed the Reds of a share of the spoils which their performance merited.

Mourinho said: "If I was Rafa then I would be very disappointed because Liverpool played well and I think a draw would have been a fair result. They deserved a point and we know we were lucky today.

"In the first half they were better than us but in the second half I thought it was more fifty-fifty. When you are going for the Championship then you need some luck and we had that today.

"We went through a difficult period in the first half when I felt my players lost some emotional control. You can't afford to do that against a team like Liverpool who press, who fight, who challenge and who battle for everything in front of their magnificent crowd.

"We won because of some luck and because of some fine individual performances. Liverpool also had some great individual displays and they worked well as a team.

"I'm pleased to have got the victory but I know Liverpool didn't deserve to lose. I wish them the best for the rest of the year."

.....................................

Not much arrogance evident there.

I agree - he was very gracious today, but then again they won so take that into account.

And I could post plenty of instances were he has portrayed a blinding attitude of arrogance but I can't be arsed to be honest

I like Mourinho aswell, i think he's great for the prem, but i just hate Chelsea Football Club. Personally it derives from lampard, i just hate the guy. From the hype which is unjustified to his attitude. The fact chelsea won today by doing nothing? Yeah that also makes me hate them more, they are more of a business that a sporting team.

Second best midfielder? Nah i don't think so, he has a world of wealth around him for one thing. He has a good shot but apart from that he is a decent midfielder. Just because he has played so many games veryone talks him up. Ok, so he has a few assists to his name, for the likes of robben, duff-world class attacking forwards, doesn't take a lot to assist them. His passing is how any central midfielder should be, but its nothing special. He's not quick, and his tackling is average to decent.

Vieira, Scholes, Duff, Robben, Alonso......

Just a few who are better than him

I wouldn't swop any of them for Lampard. He out-scores and out-passes Vierra, out -tackles Scholes and Alonso is only better at passing. The other two are wingers.

He is the second best midfielder in the Premiership, behind Gerrard. I don't think that can be described as hype.

Last time I checked a winger was a midfielder - you must have meant centre midfield?

I think he's a good player but i'd take Vieira, Scholes and Alonso over him any day of the week

I hate Chelsea because I feel they're wealth that is on a level never seen before is bad for the game, and this fact is compounded by fans who rival Utd's for arrogance.

As for Lampard a top player but although they are different types of players I have to say the idea he is better than Viera is outrageous. Viera is arguably the best centre mid in the world rivalled only by Gerrard IMO.

Well, there's wealth and there's wealth.

The Mancs are 'wealthy' but they've earned it through their maximizing revenue streams, success on the pitch, the huge following that they had even during their lean years. They not only do not spend in excess of their revenue, they make a profit each year.

IHFC on the other hand ... The way they have used Abramovich's millions plundered from the Russian people is a disgrace. I hate the very concept of what Chelsea FC now stands for.

They were an arrogant bunch of no-class wankers under Bates (the most despicable twat ever in football) and have gone downhill since he left. They were on the verge of collapse (reputedly less than a week away from it) when they were bailed out by Abramovich. Like Mooks says, they didn't earn what they've got. I know Blackburn didn't either, but at least they retained a little humility.

Plus Jack Walker was a local (even though he moved to Jersey) businessman who was fiercely passionate about the club he supported. I think I heard that he left a lot of his fortune to the club when he passed away.

Could never imagine any of that being the case with chelsea.

If my memory serves me right, the chelsea fans got really unbearable in the 90's after Gullit took over and brought them a few big name players. I dont recall them even coming close to winning the league back then, but still they acted like they were Real Madrid. Smug and arrogant tossers. Its only gotten worse since then. The thing i hate most about all this is that by some freak accident they, out of all the clubs in the world, got endless amounts money between theyre hands, and all of a sudden the idiots down the kings road start to believe they were right all along and that they have every right to act like they have done for a decade.

I fucking hate chelsea

No gives a shit about leeds financial situation, and they actually get criticised for it. Yet no one has a go at chelsea who were in the same position.

Denis Wise, Ken Bates, Lebouf and a few others.

Their open tapping up of Stevie G, its been so blatant.

I like mourinio but what the fuck is he doing coming out with comments about trying to sign him when he was in charge of porto just before we play them, well we know why but thats more of a ferguson tactic, i thought he was above that.

Believe or not i actually quite like Chelsea fans, they seem alright, they're review of yesterday were really fair, mor so than the press, apart from....

The celeb set. Damon Alburn, who in all other things i really like, but i remember an interview where he hated football, but then he's one of the lads when its fashionable. And to be honest it does seem that they are one of those clubs that attracts celebs who simply want to be associated with football. (Vaugn, Lovejoy etc)

And though i dislike the mancs i actually have a respect for them, they have built what they have, yes we used to be able to spend loads as well, why? because we earned it through success not because of the Russian mafia.
