agree, but he’s going to be more helpful to them now than before by being a more conventional number 9, a bit like Pauleta was.

 

When you add their old but solid back line, and the solid technical and tactical proficiency of midfielders like Joao Mario, William Carvalho and Bruno Fernandes, that’s also great, but the creativity is the bonus with Bernardo Silva, Honcalso Guedes and Gelson Martins adding blistering pace and movement behind Ronaldo or Adrian Silva. The latter was shite for Milan but is great for Portugal.

France are overrated. England and Belgium are hamstrung by inexperienced or poor management. Argentina and Portugal are the x-factors because they have the best two players in the competition but they have too many weaknesses. 

 

The only area of concern for Brazil is that Danilo is shite, but besides that they are firing on all cylinders and they actually have a worthy manager for once.

Brazil. They have the best attack in the tournament, probably the best midfield, and the only player in their defense that's suspect is Danilo. I also think they'll have a hunger as a team to atone for that 7-1 drubbing the last time out and the only real way to do that is to win the tournament, even sweeter if it's against Germany who are surely the best on paper of the European sides.
