Real Madrid - The European Cup final

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one who thought he should have brought on Moreno for Salah instead of Lallana to keep pace up top and to use some of this magical shooting ability Klopp says he possesses.

The fact I'm even asking this shows how shallow the squad is.

Well he was the only one on the bench who had a decent season.

Lallana was never offering anything.

So two of us then. I remember chatting to mates after the Roma game, that if some cunt runs through Salah (or Mane) in the final, we should try Moreno there with his speed. Obviously Salah and Mane have a lot more than just speed, but with a couple of weeks till the Final, the squad could adequately prepare for the facists' dirty tactics.

I was told to stop chatting shite. Fair enough, it was silly enough a thought at the time, but who knows, could have been a wild card.

Coulda, Shouda, Woulda I guess.

I find it hard to believe that people where posting during a Champions League Final in which we were participating. I can understand posting during one or two of our insipid league games but during a CL final I'm not sure I'd want to post on here even though I am a boring bastard and post loads of shite on here though. Maybe its a modern version of teletext scores?

Did you not get the memo sent out in 2008 Vlad?  It's more important to tell people you're experiencing something than it is to experience something.

Sergio Ramos has had his say following the furore in the aftermath of the Champions League final between Liverpool and Real Madrid.

Real won the final last month 3-1, but Mohamed Salah sustained a dislocated shoulder in the first-half in Ukraine, after a tangle with the Spain international and the same player later clashed with Loris Karius.

Massachusetts General Hospital has confirmed the German underwent assessment by both Dr Ross Zafonte and Dr Lenore Herget at MGH and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital on May 31, five days after the 3-1 loss in Kiev.

Karius is on holiday in the United States but Liverpool’s medical staff wanted him to be checked out and a subsequent examination found evidence of concussion, which doctors say could have affected his performance.

The 24-year-old was in tears at the final whistle in Kiev.  The Spanish side’s first goal came when Karim Benzema charged down an attempted throw-out by Karius, and the goalkeeper then allowed a long-range Gareth Bale shot to slip through his grasp for the third.

“F**k, they have given a ball to Salah’s theme. I did not want to talk about it because in the end because everything is magnified. He (Salah) grabs my arm first and I fell to the other side, the injury happened to the other arm and they said that I gave him a judo hold,” Ramos said, as cited by Marca.

“After the goalkeeper said that I dazed him with a clash. I am only missing Firmino saying that he got a cold because a drop of my sweat landed on him.”

Ramos has also claimed Salah could have played on with a pain-killing injection in his shoulder.

“I spoke with Salah through messages, and he was quite good,” Ramos added via Cuatro. “He could have played if he got an injection for the second half, I have done it sometimes but when Ramos does something like this, it sticks a little bit more.

“I don’t know if it’s because you’re at Madrid for so long and win for so long that people look at it a different way.”

Yeah i fucking bet you have, a lot more often than "sometimes" as well. "Pain killers", right. Sure. Whatever you say.

It's cunts like him that make me wish we had a cunt like Roy Keane playing for us. Just come on and go straight through his fuckin knee. I know it's wrong, and I'm not arguing it isn't. Even if he just said the Salah thing, sure. I do somewhat agree that he could've played on with a pain-killer injection, but I understand why he didn't even if I feel like I'd have acted differently in his position. His nation which he cares about deeply made their second ever World Cup and they're fucked if he can't play. Even with him in the team for another four years there's no guarantee they make it back there, and that's assuming he stays healthy for that time.

To call the Karius thing a clash though is where he really takes the piss. He fucking elbowed him quite clearly. It doesn't get more intentional than that.
