Shaving your own head

I have a Remington clipper and shave my head once a week, using the lowest possible setting. It takes about 10 minutes, and that includes going over my head twice, the second time in the opposite direction. I've used wet razors before but I've found that unless I did it at least a couple of times a week, the razor would just keep getting clogged.

I’ve had a number one haircut in the past. Nice and cool for summer, but I wasn’t a massive fan of the way it looked, bit too aggressive. Doing a number one myself was sound, but I attempted a number two and number three, and to be honest, it didn’t look very professional. Sooner just get it done at the barbers.

When I first shaved my head I hoped I'd end up looking hard like Jason Statham.

Instead I came out looking like Moby.

Unfortunately I'm not follically blessed so I don't have much choice in the matter either.

Most recently got one of these things from Lidl for about a tenner, does an alright job but the battery takes a while to charge, probably better off with a lithium one if you're forgetful/impatient like me. cab3c79b0b4a6ab7fb41599d0abb983f.jpg0d7ae46bdcbe6566df4621d1ccd6fbf6.jpg

It's all about balance. Since I started shaving my head, I've looked to see whether or not having a beard suits me better. It turns out that it does, so when I shave my head, I go over my beard with a 9mm attachment on the clippers.

I’ve had three different sets of clippers. I just get what’s cheap in TK Maxx and use ‘em until they go blunt, which is a few years. I cut my hair once a week usually with no comb on the clippers and Mrs Paul checks for any missed bits and sorts them. Bonnet de douche.

Quite fancy going the full Yul Brynner this summer. Might totally “Bic” it for my holidays.
