Just binge watched all 8 episodes in two days. Seriously good stuff. Based on various true accounts of attempts in the 19th century to find the North West passage. Very bleak in places, superbly atmospheric and brilliantly acted.

 

Gets an 8.5 on IMDB and 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is impressive.

I've seen it described as Master and Commander meets The Thing and thought that was fairly accurate. I binged it over two night and, for most part, thoroughly enjoyed it.

To be honest I'd have preferred it without all the supernatural stuff but I imagine they'd have ran out of ideas pretty sharpish.

Really good but incredibly slow, made for binge watching imo.

Agree it is slow but I think that kinda works with this show you do get the feel of how cold soul destroying and desolate it must have been at the time.

I loved it and I did the same , binge watched it as I guess if you spewed it for a week or two you might not go back
