Anyone ever been to a live baseball game out in the states?

Got cheap flights to New York in May and there’s no MLS teams playing at home while we’re out there but the Yankee’s are playing the Red Sox and looking at a few ticket sites, they have them available for $25.

Never watched more than a video clip of a baseball game and Homer Simpson saying without alcohol, it’s the most boring game ever are the only things I know about it.

Anyway, would it be a waste of a day for someone whose gonna be the equivalent of a Japanese tourist getting 2 tickets in our end for palace away or can it be a decent day out

Work sending me to Atlanta in mid-April and whaddyano, the Braves are on the road the entire week I'm there. Raging. I'd love to go to a ball game. By all accounts it can be deathly dull, even if you know what is going on. But there would be great novelty value, and there's always the beer.

I’ve never watched baseball and don’t have a clue about the rules. However, I’d definitely go, as the Yankees are iconic, and it would be ace to be able to say I’d seen them. I’d probably take a selection of board games to keep me amused. I’m thinking Frustration (popomatic), Downfall and Bed Bugs.

The new football team are at home against New York City on 15 April.

Went to watch the New York Mets when we were over there at Citi field .

We really enjoyed it , it's how you would expect plenty of beer and hot dogs prices weren't to steep but we were up in the gods .

As an experience it was a good day out would certainly do it again the ground is really close to La Guardia Airport so expect to see planes flying over you

Fucking daytripper. It's people like you that are ruining the game, with your half and half baseball caps, pumping revenue into the club shops.

Better find out what colour the bins are in New York in case anyone asks what colour yours is.

Baseball itself is utterly shit however the day out can be quite fun and is mostly very alcoholic. I’d recommend tickets that include the club or something similar. I’m going to the Cincinnati Reds Opening Day (150 year old tradition) in a couple of weeks. The parade, events and all day drinking around the stadium will be far better than the actual game and I intend to watch as little of that as possible
