It's not just Klopp. He's been under the Owl, Kenny, Rodgers, and now Klopp.

They love his "work ethic" apparently, because he shows up early and leaves late

.. Except he's shit whilst here

That’s why our goalies are shite, too busy singing islands in the stream with Dolly Parton to be arsed training them how to catch a football. Fuckin country a western bearded cunt.

The Roma President has had to clarify his remarks about Alisson being close to a transfer to Real Madrid. He now says he was joking and there is no truth in the Madrid stuff. That'll have pretty much every major sports news outlet gnashing their teeth, as they all ran with it.

He was not joking, he was trying to start a bidding war. I don't think Madrid are too interested and neither am I. If we're ready to spend that kind of money, we might as well go for Oblak.

I just want ask  that if we're playing the "Klopp rates Achterberg and is in a better position than us to evaluate him" game, wouldn't the logic of that also apply to the statement that "Klopp rates Karius and is clearly in a better position than us to evaluate him"? I certainly don't see how it wouldn't and yet, most people will be losing their shit if Karius is still our number 1 come the end of the window.

I'm not sure if Achterberg is the entire problem, and I'm willing to write off Reina as being completely disillusioned with the circumstances of surrounding the club at the time he went south for us, especially Rafa leaving, never mind his surgery. I do think he's part of the problem however, and if whether we sign a new number 1 or not we should probably see if we can improve at the position of first team goalkeeper coach.

Difference is that we watch Karius play, so you can tell if he plays well. No-one has ever seen what Achterberg does as a coach.

Apparently he shot 2 videos with different endings. One saying he's going to barca and the other proclaiming he's staying at athletico. At the 11th hour, he told the producers to run with the latter.

Yeah cheers, I saw that later on. Its a shitty stunt to pull but still nice to see someone tell Barcelona to fuck off.

If he's going to make himself into the bad guy, I wish he'd just gone full-on villain and dressed like this for the video:

We see the effects of Acterberg's coaching every game. If he was a great coach we'd see an upturn in their performances based on before and after working with him, but every keeper, without fail, has regressed.

If a team regresses badly when a manager takes over you'd sack the manager, wouldn't you? If a manager managed a large sample size of teams and made all of them regress you'd say he was a poor manager, wouldn't you? Why is Acterberg seemingly the only coach in the world immune to this phenomena?

The keepers are both shit and out of their depth , I wouldnt have a clue if the coach is any good but you cant polish a turd as the saying goes , and these pair are mid table goalies at best

Reina regressed but that was probably more down to him losing heart.

Are you going to suggest that Mig and Karius both started well and then got worse?

Reina seemed to put more energy into the celebrations of a Spanish team that he never got picked for than he did for us towards the end.
