Never forget after Shankly died John Toshack THEN Swansea manager during an emotional minute's silence wore the red shirt with number 10 on the back as a tribute in the home game October 3, 1981 after his passing during the week of the match.

Yes, that was superb.

I remember the BBC radio commentary of that moment by Peter Jones (educated at Swansea Grammar School) - with his lovely hint of a Welsh lilt - was especially marvellous.

Always remember Gordon Strachan putting it quite simply after we had battered his Coventry team. 'If you are playing a team with better players & they match you for effort and application they are going to win the great majority of the games '. Put the same effort in as last Sunday & we will win comfortably.

Would be much more confident if it wasn't a Monday - playing after everyone else with either a big chance to make ground or need to win to keep pace is not something we always do well.

I'm actually happier with the extra couple of days to get City out of our system.  Psychologically and tactically, it's a big turnaround to go from playing the best team in the league to playing the worst.  I think we'll be prepared for this one; moreso than we would be if it were, for example, on 12:30 on Saturday.

Peter Jones was the Dylan Thomas of football radio commentary. I was about to use 'Shakespeare' instead but that would be sacrilege to a Welshman.
