Just flicked on Eurosport and lo! Women's ski jumping.

Transfixed, strangely love this shit. Mentalists, alternately soaring like an eagle or getting their face ploughed into compacted ice at 100mph.

I once went up the Olympic ski jump at Innsbruck, let me tell you that the pics on the telly don't even come close to conveying the sheer scale of that monstrous erection.

I watch the slalom and downhill skiing on Eurosport now and again and they are absolutely stunning, most of them anyway. If you want to pick up gorgeous and classy women then get into skiing lads.

We stood at the top of the jump in Garmisch-Partenrkirchen, fuck skiing down one of those.

Back in the 80's two pissed up soldiers decided it would be a good idea to go down it on one of those silver  tea tray's. Needless to say they were found the next morning, dead.

Somewhere, Alan Sex's spidey sense is tingling.

Yeah, true story Cath. If you ever see a book called 'Try not to laugh Sergeant Major' by ' Robert McGowan and Jeremy Hands' then give it a go, some hilarious, if not at times thoughtful and sad stories.

Another sad story from the book and common knowledge amongst the military folk of BOAR is as follows.

This Stalwart (amphibious army truck) was travelling through a town when it came up to a railway crossing with the barriers down. Whilst waiting it was backfiring, in front of it was a horse and carriage and the horse was rearing up due to the noise. This old bloke who was waiting at the crossing tied his dog to the barrier and went to calm the horse down. The train passed at this point and the barriers went up, hanging his dog.

I used to be addicted to McDonald's. McDonald's food is shite, but a few years ago, I just could not stop eating the stuff. I spent the best part of a year going to a 24 hour Maccies, on a nightly basis, spending hours at a time in there. 40 nuggets, 6 or 7 McRibs, Double Cheese Burgers, Big Macs, loads of fries - all in one sitting, night after night after night.

How did that impact your health? More importantly, did you kick the addiction?

Have you seen the Eddie The Eagle film ?  I watched it a few weeks ago and thought it was OK.
