I didn't think that was one of TAA better games, thought he was wasteful going forward with the ball. I actually thought Moreno had a better game. Opinions eh!

 

Lovren made a goal saving block at a critical time at 2-0 and went about his work very well to be fair to the lad. Klavan once again was solid whist staying under the radar. 

 

Back four played well without being under loads of pressure, what they had to do, the did well. Next week will be a way tougher test.

I’d like to give an honorable mention to Lovren. Never in the top three, but in its own way he rates highly as he has been falling apart, with the Spurs game the worst I think I’ve seen, and there have been rumors he’s had some off pitch problems too. At his best he’s a jittery sort, so it’s fair to say I was dreading what an amped up Lovren would do against his former club. Well, we shut them out and I don’t even think they had an effort on goal. That’s not all down to Lovren of course, but I want to give credit where it’s due and getting steady from this fella at this time is almost MOM worthy, given the context.
