When did Brady go to Juve? I know he played for West Ham in the late 80s but while still class,he wasn't the brady of arsenal vintage. He was arguably one of the top 5 players in the world in his day. Good choice him.

 

Mcgrath was a legend of a player. I ended up on the ale with him once after meeting him in a random pub in Dublin with 30 scousers on a stag. He said Kenny wanted to sign him when fergie was bombing him out of the Mancs,but he wouldn't sell him to us. A really nice bloke to boot.

 

Southall was a phenomenal keeper. It's strange but back then when they were our main rivals,i quite liked their team. Maybe,it's because there were more than a few Saturdays spent at Goodison when i couldn't afford to go to our away games.

 

Kenny Sampson was a class player. Probably would make my top 5.

 

Ardiles to round it off because he was exotic at a time when there was only a handful of non-british/irish players in the league. I liked the fact he dealt with all the shite of the falklands and after a loan came back to england. Imagine the pampered modern players doing that.
