Torsten Frings, his name sticks in my head for no apparent reason. I liked him as a player, but can't really remember why.

 

Actually on second thought he was slow as fuck comparatively to other top level professionals (much like Ryan Stevenson) so perhaps its that, that someone could go so far in the sport while not being able to run very quickly.

I always had a soft spot for Celtic as a kid and my arl fella took me Parkhead to watch them once when i was kid in 1983.

 

Of course through the 80's Scottish Footy wasn't on our screens much maybe the highlights of the cup finals is about as much as i can recall but McGrain and that Celtic side from the 80's fascinated me.
