Hello people.

Somme of you will be know the reason behind this thread but this is so I can get this beyond the members forum

On 14th August 2014 Robslappa's six year old daughter Jasmine choked on a grape while he and his family were on holiday in North Wales. Despite efforts to safe her, Jasmine died just a few hours later. It's just on two years since Jasmine's death and during the time that has passed Rob and his wife Kathy have started a charity in their daughter memory.

Love Jasmine is a registered charity and was set up to raise funds with the aim to offer help and support to those who have had to deal with the death of a child.

Anyway, moving swiftly on.

In September last year, I cycled from Lands End to John 'o' Groats and there were some people on TLW who wanted me to do the ride for charity. The truth was, it was the first time I'd ever attempted such a ride and I didn't want to take money from people only for me to fail half way through (which I nearly did), and look even more of a right cunt than I do.

Well, on the 13th September I'm going to cycle from Liverpool to Brighton over five days. The route will take me via Newcastle Under Lyme, Nuneaton, Milton Keynes, London, and then on the final day I will meet up with over 4000 other cyclists who will be doing the annual London to Brighton ride.

I know some people have donated to other causes on her recently but if you would like to sponsor me, please do so via my Just Giving page.

Love Dougie.

P.S Just in case some of you skeptical bastards think I'm getting a freebee cycling holiday out of this, I'm not. All the expenses  have been paid for by myself. Please also be mindful that I have to visit N.U.L, Nuneaton and Milton Keynes. Surly that's got to be worth a few sheckles

I've whacked a bid in of £20 + £5 gift aid. When do I find out if I've won?

On yer bike, lad.

Thanks everyone. As always, TLW steps up to the plate when asked.

No Kevin D, I'm not from Wigan but I did pass through there today.

Just in case you all think I've been having a nice relaxing Sunday, here's a sample of what your getting for your money.

A week after starting the just giving page and I'm about 100 quid off my initial target of £1000. Can't thank you all enough for your support. I honestly thought I'd struggle to get half the original amount.

Anyway, after taking advise from my event coordinator (Champ) I've decided to raise the target by 500 quid more so if you'd like to add to the fund, there's still plenty of time. The link to the just giving page is in the OP.

Thanks again.

Well done on this, good cause and I can imagine a lot of hard work going in to it.

Good things happen because of good people.
