Pineapple on a pizza?

Following on from the 'beans on a fry up' debate, I had a pizza the other day and it had pineapple on it. It's the first time I've had a pizza with pineapple on it and it just seemed completely wrong. It was so sweet it was like I was having dessert at the same time.

What says the GF to pineapple on a pizza?

By special GF request, here is the pizza of the week....Classic Canadian Ham and Pineapple (with jalapeno peppers). I included extra pics of the process just to show how awesome it is.

Probably one of the only pizzas without any garlic or herbs added to the tomato base. This really wants to be a bit on the sweet side. I decided to add a couple of dollops of bacon jam to the sauce though, for sweetness (that's the black bits in the photo).

Fresh ham and pineapple and the jalapenos are also pickled in vinegar and sugar/salt, which is super cheap (never store bought). You can see that every piece of ham and pineapple has been custom fit on the pizza for perfect balance. No extra cheese either....I was tempted to add blue cheese, but this pizza has more than enough going on. I usually say no more than four ingredients between toppings and cheese.

Might not be enough to go around, but enjoy.....
