Putting this here as well as the "last game you played" thread as am yet to clock it.

 

As a fan of FF 7/8/9 on their respective Playstation platforms I hadn't picked up an FF game for about a decade after FF10 which I didn't enjoy "DEE FORBEEDAN MACHINA MON" and found lots of aspects of it overcooked. 

 

Final Fantasy VI on a GBA emulator on my phone.  Game changer.

 

Got this Emulator and looked up "best GBA games" and saw FFVI and thought I'd give it a go.  Immediately hooked into it.  Great cutesy graphics, tunes which stick in my head for hours, the story line immediately gripping.  Simple turn based battle like the olden days.  Simple items/add ons to improve the characters.  

 

Fantastic and I fear it'll cost me my family.

- GTA Vice City (PS2) / Vice City Stories (PSP)

- NHL 2007 (PSP)

- Sensible Soccer (MD/Snes) - I never had an Amiga

- Mario Kart (any, don't have a favourite - but I guess the original on the Snes, Double Dash on the Gamecube and MK Wii)

- Chaos (Speccy)

I'd forgotten half these machines and games existed.  I actually worked for Commodore as a repair technician on the C64 in the mid eighties, still have a working 64 in the loft that I used to play strip poker on.
