Any thoughts on the new assassins creed. Actually quite excited by it myself. Gone down the RPG angle more than the old games. Luckily i have not played much in the past year so have the old Shadow of Mordor,Fallout 4,Far Cry 4 to get stuck into and with AC,Wolfenstein,South Park all being released and Mass Effect,Far Cry Primal all cheap now should be a good few months. Planning on a new 4k tv on blackfriday too and a new updated xbox to go with it.

 

Still not sure wether to bother with a PS4 or not.

I very recently got a 4K TV and felt I needed to justify it's use by getting a PS4 Pro to replace my previous PS4 and will be getting the XBox One X (Scorpio Edition) to replace the XBox One S. The Pro is very much worth it for the extra effects that it's capable of (so long as the game has been upgraded to use it!). Destiny 2 and GT Sport look stunning on it and I am looking forward to seeing Forza 7 on the XBox One X.

 

My advice would be to get a PS4 Pro if you can afford it.

Really got back into gaming the last few weeks.

So will be getting a 4k TV black friday,and upgrading my Xbox xmas and picking up the PS4 around next year.

 

Good thing is i have picked up a load of games on the cheap and some good titles out now.

 

Got AC origins on pre order,really like the look of this one.

Grabbed Far Cry 4,Fallout 4,Fifa 18,Madden 18,Mass Effect Andronama(EA Access for Xbox users). Batman(played already)

 

Will order South Park,COD and Star Wars

 

 

Anyone going to be playing online with Xbox as im looking at playing some multiplayer too. Never been a big multiplayer but ill give it a go. Someone said to me that there are not so many dickheads these days?

I know people moan about remakes but, with the endless bullshit piled on to all the new releases these days (with even the great games having loot boxes attached to pull a few more quid out of you), plus the fact these were always great games.  I'm all for it.  Might even look to pick up Crash Bandicoot in the new year.

I wonder why the ps1 had so many good games compared to now.

 

Were games cheaper to make? so it was just easier for developers to throw any old idea at the wall and see what sticks?

 

Or was it because every cunt had a chipped playstation so you could pirate any game you wanted so it was easier for some smaller games to gain a cult following?

 

Maybe it was buying the PlayStation magazine with the demo disks every month.

The early stages have been linear. Not sure if it opens up as it goes along, (I've avoided every play through so I can really enjoy the game).

 

Like Shadow of Mordor/Shadow of War, I'm really rusty with the combat, so have been getting me arse handed to me a fair bit. Getting old and me digits don't quite work as they once did... (That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it!).

Black Ops 4 was officially revealed yesterday, with quite a few major changes.

 

First and foremost, there is no single player campaign - it has gone completely.

 

Secondly, they've introduced a Battle Royale mode called Blackout which will have vehicles. They say that the map is around 1500 times the size of Nuketown, which it will need to be to comfortably allow vehicle usage, and will contain elements of previous Black Ops multiplayer maps. You will be able to play as any of the main characters from previous Black Ops games. No further details have been announced.

 

The final major change is to multiplayer itself. Specialists are back, and squad games are no longer 6 v 6. They've trimmed down squad games to 5 v 5, and there are certainly nods to Overwatch & Rainbow 6 Siege, as teams can only have 1 of each specialist, with specialists now being more tactically focused than ever before, so finding the right balance is going to be high on everyone's requirements when playing.
