Daniel Sturridge: A man in desperate need of his missing mojo - by Jason Harris

He needs to fuck god off 'cos he aint doing shit for him.

Daniel is doing OK with his God. He's making £150k per week for essentially part time work and is set for life, at least in an economic sense, long before he is 30 years old.

The many godless people on here are obviously doing much better, mind.

I don't think you need to be all that mobile as a number 10. It would depend on who he had around him though tbf. He's not gonna work as a 9 or 10 here, but in he could still do a job for a team breaking into the top 6.

I could see him going to a West Ham and getting 15-20 goals, but it's different there. Less pressure and less playing against teams with 10 men behind the ball. Whatever happens we're never getting that old Sturridge back so best for everyone if he's moved on. If we have any sense we'll ask for some first dibs on some talented youngsters from wherever he ends up because we're probably not gonna end up with that 30-40 million..even in today's market

He's scored more than 13 a season once in his career. That was in a 100 league goal scoring team beside a world class talent in Suarez.

Highly doubtful, now that his body is shot to shit that he's going to reach better figures than he ever has barr that one season.

Good to see God prioritising nesh people who point upwards over thousands of innocent children fleeing death in Syria.

Still made of the same stuff as our Daniel though. The difference being I think Kompany is genuinely injured everytime and would play beyond the pain barrier. Bodies are made from the same stuff but their minds are totally different. You can see if hurts Kompany not to be playing but with Sturridge you get the impression that it's ok I'll go hang around in America with some rappers. Whether that's right or wrong but that's the impression Sturridge gives off.

A prodigiously gifted but utterly unreliable striker. I can't be bothered putting forward the 'but what if he gets fit and plays 40 games' arguments any more. Not going to happen.

Hopefully Klopp will, as a matter of priority, make use of the £25m in the exact same position rather than bringing in another seven or eight goal number 10.

I said this about 18 months ago,in fact it was probably obvious to us all during the following season to the 2nd place finish. His goals covered up his fragility for a while but now we have a manager with balls and one who has made him surplus to requirements for all to see.

£1.56m in wages per league goal this season.

Fuck off.

13 league goals in just over 2 and a half seasons...101 games over 2 full seasons and the 25 in this one so far.

You can have all the talent in the world but if as a striker that is all you have given to a club in goals in 2 and a half seasons then it is tine to move on.

Yes he hasn't been picked a lot this season but ultimately there are reasons for that, and he was injured for large parts of the other 2 seasons but that is the whole point - he is of no use to us.
