Who Are Your Top 5 Favourite Reds

Not those you think had the best ability but the players you loved seeing play for us.

1. Fowler - My idol as a kid growing up and one of the best finishers the game has ever seen

2. Alonso - Most graceful player I've seen with the ball at his feet. Probably to me what Molby is to those 10/15 years older. Gutted when he left. Still am.

3. Berger - I'm too young too have seen a prime Barnes or Rush. Berger was fantastic for a few seasons and I used to love him on that wing. Seeing him tear Chelsea apart when we beat them 5 nil (might have been 4....) was one of my favourite performances by a Liverpool player.

4. Carragher - You can't get much more scouse. Would have died on the pitch and nearly did in Istanbul. For me he was the key man that night. We would have conceded another 3 or 4 if he wasn't superhuman in that game.

5. Bjornebye - Criminally underrated. His cross for Fowler winner in the 2nd 4:3 against Newcastle was pin perfect. I'd love a player with his crossing ability now. Not great defensively but we rarely get full backs who are.

Torres only just misses out.

1. Gerrard - Monster of a player who would be world class in any position on the field. It's a shame he never won more medals.

2. Suarez - Unbelievably talented mad little cunt, I love his relentless desire to win and competitive edge.

3. Hyypia - Towering presence at the back, scored goals and a top bloke as well.

4. Fowler - Great goal scorer who used his profile to back the people of Liverpool and is most definitely 'one of our own'

5. Kuyt - Stick him in KFC and he'd give you 100% every shift.

My faces are:

Molby - the most talented footballer I have seen for Liverpool.

Gerrard - What a player.  Carried us through so many games.

Dalglish - Impish fat-arsed genius.

Rush - Deadly.

Souness - A winner.

unlucky to lose out:

Keegan - the lad that started it all.

Suarez

Fowler

Lawrenson

etc etc

Might have been someone else.... What happened with him and Tommy Smith?

Hughes mentioned players from Arsenal were up for taking a bung to throw a game or something like that. Tommy Smith took it the wrong way apparently and wouldn't speak to him again.
