Sturridge is our best striker and should play through the middle

I think we should have made a decision on him this transfer window but it looks like we haven't.

Playing him wide right or coming on for the last two minutes is an utter waste of time.

I was thinking about that as Klopp brought him on in the 88th minute. Was it tactical, or was he sending Sturridge a message?

Defo sending a message but he didn't even stick him where he could be dangerous. He has to be our main forward, he is easily our best option. I know he gives off the attitude but if Messi ate beans on his fry-up i'd still play him. You just have to take it on the chin. Fucking little bean eating evita twat.

Sturridge is our best striker and should play through the middle... when at his best. The question is, will we ever see him at his best again? He's a good finisher and he has a good football brain, but I'm not sure if his legs have gone, and the strength and pressing is not quite there. It's not like his legs have totally gone, but we've not seen him sprint for a while, so there's a significant part of his game missing now.

He does not have the game, for me, to be a single striker up top. I'd like to see him play with Origi to see if they can rekindle the understanding they showed in the 6-1 against Southampton, but I'm not sure that's on Klopp's radar.

Its only 3 games in, but there's a bit of a feeling that Sturridge is becoming a bit part player for us, and he will certainly think he's too good for that. If we got a good offer we might sell, but failing that, he will have to fit in with Klopp's idea of where he should be in the pecking order, or at least give the manager an irresistible case to play him where he wants. So far we've seen neither.

Sick of his strops and injury record. So not bothered either way.

Where does he go next though. After Chelsea Man City and Liverpool. He 'll be taking a step down.

Wouldnt be surprised to see him in the MLS where he can hang out with Drake and Co.

He's still the best we have at actually putting the ball into the net. We've got half a dozen players who'll press, run and help us get to the edge of the box, so I'd be more than happy to keep our one specialist player of quality. You can go too far in creating a squad full of jack of all trades, and that's what we'd get if we tried to replace him (and that's assuming we'd even bother, rather than making do or promoting another AM from within).
