Plenty of rumours floating around that it'll be heading back as far as World War 1.

 

As ever, I'll be getting myself super hyped for this and Infinite Warfare. My pre orders will be in just as soon as I can do so.

How was Hardline? That was the most recent wasn't it? I quite liked the little I played of Battlefield 4 but with you lot already being on PS4 by then I didn't play it much as it's just not quite the same when you're playing it on your own.

I didn't buy Hardline. I played the beta and enjoyed it, but just didn't bother buying the game.

Hardline was shit and the user base is almost dead. It was a pathetic money spinner. BF5, whilst almost certainly not the trench warfare of WW1, as it has been quashed by secs, might go WW2. That'd be interesting. I just hope it's not the futuristic bullshit that other games have tried to pull.

Really don't like how they turned BF into a cash cow series. BF2 was a great MP shooter you could play (and I did) for years and years. 3 was fine for a while but now there is a new one every year, no thanks.

BF4 has been out for 2 1/2 years. They did that hardline shit which nobody plays, but the next in the proper BF series will make it 3 years. BF4 has been amazing.

I liked COD from MW2 (first one I played) through to BO2 but then from Ghosts onwards they've been awful and then it's compounded by the stupid movement.

 

 

 

What's the score with these packs like Red Baron Pack etc? What does it give you that you wouldn't get normally or is it just stuff you would be able to get in DLC anyway but it's cheaper to buy upfront?

That would be lovely and massively long overdue.

 

As for BF1, I'm glad it's going back in time as the modern/future shooter has been done to death over the last 5 or 6 years. I just hope it's done with a modicum of taste. There's very little that makes me as angry as WWI.

Enjoying the beta. Horses are an ace addition to the game. So much satisfaction running by and chopping down the enemy with a sword.

 

One thing I've noticed is that when I'm not a squad leader, no one else issues squad orders which means everyone in the squad is missing out on a shit load of points.

 

A squad defense order for an objective is worth 300 points - All you need to do is ensure that the point is not taken for 1 minute... Easy money.

 

Shame about the bug with kit progression.

Is this going to have a good single player campaign or is it being produced specifically for online play? The trailers and the fact it is WW1 based make it really appeal to me, but I don't bother with online.
