Hooch vs. The Other Fella - Saturday Night

Those of you that follow the boxing threads will be aware that our very own Hooch is taking part in his second fight this weekend. Like all the big fights, it's worthy of a thread of its own. All the build up and pre fight discussion can go in here.

 

Hooch is coming in with a record of 0-1 against The Other Fella who also boasts an almost perfect record of only the one defeat, no wins. We're reliably informed that they're evenly matched in height and reach and their only losses came against the same man. All the signs point to a furious three rounds of action.

 

What we do know is Hooch has been training hard and was seen last week doing the whole Rocky Balboa routine on the steps outside the bombed out church. It would be a brave man to bet against him but still I thought we could throw a few messages here to help him get psyched up. I'm thinking more in classic GF style like "Smash him, lad" as opposed to more famous FF quips such as "Hope he gets beat" and "Never heard of the cunt"

I must point out, for the benefit of the TLW Boxing prediction league that my fight is on Friday.

 

I'm still waiting on the confirmation that it is indeed "the other fella" I'm fighting, but it seems nailed on IMO.

 

I feel good fitness wise. I'm more looking forward to the booze up and junk food binge after, but I am eager to get in there and get the big 'W'.

 

It's in the Adelphi hotel and there's tickets on the door if anyone is about.
