So, after going in Sunday night for my wife to be induced with my first born she finally gave birth yesterday to a little girl via caesarean. Been horiffic waiting, didn't sleep or eat for 40 hours and had to sit there through a 16 hour labour before they decided to cut her out but more than worth it in the end.

Baby Isabella.

Yeah she's a big'un. 9,2 she weighed. She's had seven shits in her first 24 hours ( so proud, just like her dad ) and I've managed to get away without cleaning any of them. She keeps on waiting until my mum or sister are visiting or I've gone for the night to do them.

On my way back there now for a bit. Hopefully she does a poo and gets it cleaned just before I arrive.

Oh that is just fucking boss. I'm genuinely made up for you mate. I'm back home in December. No matter what we have to wet her head (Ape and Chimp), whether in town or if you venture back to Netherley (not sure if any family of yours are still there). I've had a pretty good day and this has topped it. My brother (well his Mrs) is having his first in a couple of months and ... I don't know ... I'm just happy good things are happening for and to good people.

Cheers Chimp. Not sure there are any places to drink in Netherley now with the Bridge Inn shutting to become an Aldi ( or Lidl? ) but yeah I'll be going to town to wet the babies head more than once I'd imagine! Good luck to your brother, hopefully the birth goes a bit more quicker for him than it did for me!

How was your sleep after the event Rapey?

I remember leaving the hospital about 7, my dad buying me a bourbon in the Lion on tithebarn street then getting the train home, got a Singapore vermicelli from the new Parkgate chippy had one bite then put it away. Was in bed by 9 and slept solidly until 10 the next day as I had a greyhound bouncing on my head wanting to be let out for a shite.

The greatest sleep id had in years. My missus still brings up that I was the latest new dad to get to the hospital the next day

Rapey starts a thread to celebrate probably the greatest day of his life and you manage to make it all about you!
