Impractical Jokers

Some of their pranks are brilliantly funny. Off the top of my head, the presentation for a holiday package; teaching people gymnastics; lecturing pregnant women on breathing exercises; conducting a job interview while trying not to laugh at what's happening behind the interviewees; giving a sex education class to the guy's own parents; posing as a nude model for an art class. There is an awful lot of hit and miss though.

Sure you haven't been watching the UK version by mistake?

No definitely the american one.  I've given it lots of tries based on people giving it glowing reports but I just can't get into it.  The orchestrated cringe-bants makes me neither cringe nor laugh.  Don't know if the background of the fellas is that they were mates who did this anyway, filmed it and became stars, but to me they just look like a shanta version of The League cast.  I find myself switching off after or two skits.

It's hard to dislike any of them and they seem to be genuinely nice guys having a laugh.

My mate was in London last year and was waiting to go on The London Eye when he turned around and there was Murr. He said he went 'Arr Murr' and put his hand out and he went 'Get your hands off me! Don't come near me' - it was a school trip so my mate had a load of pupils with him so luckily kept his cool. He's gone off him ever since...
