Leather Jackets

I've got 2.

A really soft leather brown one. Fashionable style but now looks a bit old and battered. Which is exactly how I wanted it to look.

Also, a nice black bomber style one with ribbed, elasticated waist and collar. I look like a fighter pilot. Lovely and warm in the winter with the collar up and a nice scarf underneath.

I love a leather jacket, me. Nothing worse than a "leather look" jacket though.

I've got two – A Ted Baker ‘M65’ style one in black. I used to hang it off the back of the door and the cat would use it as a 'climbing frame'. The leather’s like paper so it’s shot through with claw-marks. The replacement is a brown Barbour ‘Hurricane’ jacket in the same style. I had to buy it as it was half price, and you’ll always need a leather jacket right? Even if it’s brown? I’ve worn it twice and felt like a sex pest both times.

I then discovered leather wasn't waterproof so went back to waxed jackets.

I've got three, one old 70s black one that's knackered, a brown River Island one I spent a fortune on a few years back (which I never wear) & a really dark brown one which I got for about £20 in a closing down sale, which is one of my favourite things in the whole World. I wear it all the time & people often ask me where I got it, it's a proper The Sweeney-style jacket.

"Get your trousers on, you're nicked."

I wore my rather exceptional grey leather jacket out in London with Rouser a month or so back, and was approached in the pub by a middle-aged black male stranger who said I was pure style and did some convoluted handshake thing to show his respect.

He was with his girlfriend as well so arguably wasn't even trying to bum me.

There simply isn't a higher compliment.

Have a soft brown leather one myself. Looked the business when I got it a few years back. Getting a bit worn now though.
